Chapter 10

Hospital Visit

Himeno sat down on Draken's bed. It's been ten days since the incident. She had already been released from the hospital but Draken was still there recovering.

So she went to visit.

Draken had a book over his head and was still asleep. Himeno wanted to wake him up but he seemed so peaceful asleep. But she did remove the book from his face and set it on the counter.

"Drakey's so cute when he sleeps!" Himeno squealed as she poked his cheek with her finger. She looked over to the blinds and decided to open them. The room filled with color as the sun poured in. When she looked back, Draken was sitting up and staring at her.

She jumped a little seeing his bored expression. "W-when did you get up?" Himeno asked. The fact that he moved quietly scared her.

"I was up a while ago, just didn't feel like moving." Draken responded, stretching from his resting position.

"Is that so..." Himeno clicked her tongue. "So," she pulled a chair from a table and put it in front of his bed. She positioned it in a way the chair wasn't facing him but she sat facing him. "What exactly happened?"

Draken explained to her the events that lead to the stabbing, Himeno listened carefully. She was thinking of the timeline of the events and adding them up. Peyan's betrayal, Kiyomasa's attack, Takemichi's fight, and then the guy behind everything.

Hanma.

Wait, Hanma!?

"What's wrong Himeno?" Draken caught onto her confused expression.

"Hanma, Hanma, Hanma, where did I-" she stopped as she remembered her conversation with Kenji. "Ah! That bitch's brother beat the crap out of me!"

Draken's eyes widened slightly. Despite being in the hospital room five days together, Himeno and Draken didn't converse about the past events till now. Draken was curious to know just what happened to her even more than she was curious about what happened to him.

He was use to being a "big brother" to his friends. So seeing Himeno in an arm sling ticked him off.

Himeno knew exactly what Draken was thinking. She told him about what happened to her. How a simple hangout with a stranger turned into a life threatening situation.

"So Kenji and Hanma are trying to destroy Touman." Draken murmured. He slammed his hand onto the bed, "Those stupid shit brains."

"I still don't remember who saved me from the woods that day, I just remember being drove on a bike- Oh yeah! I also got a stuffed panda."

Ugh I wonder what happened to my stuff. Himeno wasn't able to leave her house untill today so she still had to go back to the park to check for her belongings. She didn't care if Kenji bought her the panda or not, it was cute and it was going to go home with her.

"I would say Mitsuya but he would have taken you straight to the hospital. Which reminds me, Mitsuya was so worried about you!" Draken smirked. As dumb as the guy was when it came to Emma, he still picked up on the chemistry between those two.

Himeno blushed slightly, quickly playing it off with a confident retort. "He should be worried about me!" She got up and began to dramatically exaggerate. 

"A stranded beautiful woman in the scary woods alone. Who wouldn't be concerned about what could happen to her pure soul." She faked a faint. Draken bursted out laughing and Himeno joined on too.

The room door slid open and they gave the visitor their attention. Takemichi walked in, sporting a new look. Himeno's jaw dropped, he had the word "outlaw" on his goofy shorts.
