Just Trying to get Home

The two got off the bike, Baji ended up helping Himeno get off. They headed into the park area, more specifically, the place where the festival was held.

Himeno felt chills crawl up her body. Even with Baji trailing behind she was on full alarm. The pedestrians walking, the birds that landed on the bench, the slight change in the breeze, she kept note of everything.

Baji could read his friend like a book, sensing the worried aura around her. When Himeno flinched at the sound of a squirrel exiting the bush, he decided to say something.

He placed his hand on the shoulder, trying to find the right words for the situation. "You okay?"

That sounded like he didn't care.

"Huh? I'm fine, just a little spooked that's all." She shrugged his hand off and continued walking. Baji sighed, not being the best when it came to comforting others. He was about to say something but Himeno came to a stop. Baji rose a brow in confusion. She pointed to the left, "This way."

They cut into a path that trailed away from the festive area. Himeno thought about Mitsuya, remembering how she wished he was there with her. "Man I'm so angry Baji." Himeno grit here teeth. "It's not fair that some watermelon asshole ruined my day!"

"Watermelon huh?" Baji smirked, "When I see him it's on sight." The thought of being able to beat someone up made him ecstatic.

"No," Himeno stopped. They reached a clearing and the building her and Kenji were at was there. "You can't attack him, he's mine." Himeno looked back at Baji, an innocent smile on her face. Baji could feel the evil energy around her.

"Since he broke my bones I have to break his. It's only fair."

Baji watched the girl innocently skip over to the building. He loved her spooky side, it was a reminder that she wasn't sane as well. He was going to walk over to her when he heard movement from the bushes.

He eyed the bush, deciding that it was nothing so he turned away. There again, the same rustling. He whipped his head back and stared it down. He slowly walked over to it. It shuffled one more time before something lunged at him.

He was taken back by surprise but immediately loosened up when he saw the adorable creature. A black cat with green eyes, it reminded him of Chifuyu's cat. He bent down to it's level and put his hands out, "here kitty kitty kitty kitty!"

"Baji!"

The male was startled by Himeno's voice. She was hovering above him, arm put on her hip. "We're supposed to be looking for my stuff." She eyed the cat. It hissed the moment it saw her and ran off. Baji tried to grab it but it was to fast.

Himeno narrowed her eyes in disgust, "What was it's problem?"

Am I so ugly I scare cats now!? Himeno internally cried.

"Ugh Himeno you scared it off!" Baji looked up at her, "I was going to adopt it!"

"Some stray rat that probably has rabies?" Himeno scoffed.

"It's not a rat it's a cat."

"Don't care. It's ugly."

"At least it isn't as ugly as you."

"Hey watch it." Himeno leaned close to Baji, "I'll find the bitch, take out it's insides, and stuff it with stuffing."

Baji's face contoured in horror. He inched away from her. Himeno blinked twice before creepily smiling, "I'm kidding of course!"
