The Red-Head

The day of the festival came around. Himeno had helped Hinata get ready for the festival. The two girls had gotten along greatly, Himeno had a deep respect for Hina that she rarely gave people she just met.

She kinda reminds me of Yuzuha.

"You guys look so pretty!" Emma complimented as she ran to hug them. Hina blushed, complimenting Emma back. Both Hinata and Emma were wearing yukatas. Himeno was wearing a simple dress with heels as she didn't have a yukata. They began their walk to the festival.

A little part of Himeno didn't want to go. Sure it was going to be fun but there was one problem.

She didn't have a date.

She was going to end up third wheeling and she hated that. Man, she let out a sigh, being single sucks!

She had asked Mitsuya yesterday if he was going to the festival, to afraid to ask him to go with her, but he said he couldn't make it untill late at night. She asked Mikey but he had to be elsewhere. She didn't try asking Baji, knowing how crazy the male could be. Being desperate for a date, she even took her chances and asked if Smiley was going to go. He too was busy!

STUPID SCHEDULES!

"So you guys finally came." Draken smiled as he turned to see them arrive. Takemichi too was smiling, admiring the beauty of his girlfriend. Emma said bye to Himeno and Hinata as she ran to Draken.

Draken better ask her out! Himeno gave her the thumbs up.

It was a little silent, Takemichi and Hina both weren't talking to each other. "For god sake," Himeno pushed Hina closer to Takemichi, "You guys are girlfriend and boyfriend quit being so awkward."

"R-right!" Takemichi responded. Himeno slapped her forehead and groaned. Hinata laughed at Takemichi's response to Himeno doing that.

"I'm leaving," Himeno began to walk away farther into the festival, leaving the two confused. "Himeno-san?" Takemichi said. He was internally panicking, did I do something wrong!

She turned around with a grin. "I don't want to third wheel you guys on your date! Have fun!" And with that she spun in her heels walking aimlessly into the crowd.

What should I do now?

Himeno let out a bored hum, "I hate being single!" When people looked at her weird she realized that she yelled that out loud. She smiled awkwardly as she tried to play it off.

"Come on try your strength!" She heard someone say. She looked to see a carny advertising their festival game. The man caught Himeno's stare. "Are you interested?"

Himeno debated her options, coming down to the option of saying no. She continued to walk, stopping when she heard him speak again.

"Win and you get a free stuffed animal!"

Himeno's ears poked up at those words. She turned around and caught sight of the prize table. There was a ton of stuffed animals but one attracted her attention.

She felt her skirt, feeling only her phone in the hidden pockets of her dress. Sadly, she stretched out her hand pretending to grab the panda. "If only I had some money." She mumbled, wiping away a fake tear.

"You want that panda?"

Himeno widened her eyes at the sudden voice. The person walked infront of her, smiling as they got closer to the game. "Well do you want it?"
