Chapter 6: "Welcome to Beacon"

As Leon entered the interior grounds of Beacon Academy, he found the interior design of the place more welcoming and heartwarming. The interior design of each part of Beacon (from the hallways to the various rooms in the vicinity) were almost medieval-like in a way, with a few touches of modern times here and there via the rocket lockers and

They then passed through a hallway lined with the various portrait paintings of every headmaster of Beacon Academy.

"Last but not least, here's good ol' professor Ozpin's portrait! He's the current headmaster of Beacon," Ruby enthusiastically said as they stopped at the current headmaster's portrait. "He's also the youngest headmaster in Beacon's history!"

"Hmm... It's not bad," Leon said. "But... I think there could be at least some better shading at the painting's hair."

"Hmm... I guess so," Weiss replied.

"Anyhow, should we continue?" Ruby asked.

"Oh, sorry. Let's go," Leon replied as they began to continue their tour.

After an hour of walking around with team RWBY through the various hallways, classrooms and rooms present in the school, Leon began to somewhat warm a little bit to the atmosphere of the school. However, he did receive a few glances from the other students present in each area. Those passing glances ranged from curiosity to agitation; from being interested to being weirded out.

Leon noticed all these glances and tried his best to just mind his own business as he and team RWBY continued the tour, even though he could feel his heart begin to race again.

He did his best to hide his anxiety by holding his shivering right hand, all while keeping his formal composure.

Eventually, they arrived at what appeared to be a combat class classroom.

"Here's professor Goodwitch's combat class classroom! This is where we conduct our regular combat training exercises," Ruby explained as she opened the door to reveal to fairly large combat room.

Leon looked around to see dark grey (almost black) colored walls and some podium seats for the students arranged in half a circle, with the remaining area reserved presumably for the combatants' battle. As they went down the small staircase through the podium seats, Leon looked around and observed the area. From the top spotlights on the ceiling, to the holographic projectors on the walls and floor... Leon took note of every little detail present in the room.

"This room looks fairly sizeable. When do you girls usually have combat class?" Leon asked.

"Well, our combat classes are always from Monday to Wednesday," Weiss replied.

"But there are times when miss Goodwitch borrows some of our other subjects' time for additional training sessions," Ruby added.

"I see..." Leon replied.

Eventually, after almost half an hour...

The tour finally ended with team RWBY brining Leon to his dorm room.

"Last but not least... Welcome to your dorm room, Leon!" Ruby happily exclaimed.

Leon then opened the door, only to be welcomed by the sight of the almost formal, yet also house-like aesthetic of the dorm room. It was less like the militaristic, sleek design of Atlas academy's rooms, and more of the comfy, eye-catching, yet also ergonomic design you'd see in either inns or small hotels.

"This... Is the dorm room? Looks bigger than I expected, honestly," Leon spoke up.

"Do you like it?" Ruby asked.
