11 ⇢ 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗜𝗙...ッ

August 25th - 3:35 [15 minutes till swim practice]

(l/n) was asleep, taking her after school nap. Her phone was buzzing with calls and notifications from Nishinoya. "Why isn't she answer my calls," he said aloud while waiting outside her house impatiently. He ended up ringing the doorbell continuously until Natsu opened the door. "What do you want, Lover-boy?" "Natsu, is (y/n) home."

"Yea she's taking a nap right now, why?" He looked at her with a dead look on his face. "We have swim practice today..." "Are you serious? Hold on, I'll be back." She left the door open and went upstairs to (l/n)'s room. "(Y/N) WAKE UP," she yelled, loud enough for Nishinoya to hear from the outside. "HUH, WHAT HAPPENED?" she yelled jumping out of bed. "Yu's downstairs waiting for you outside. He told me you guys have swim practice today," Natsu said flicking her on the forehead.

(l/n) sighed and picked up her bag before walking out of her room. Haruhi, one of (l/n)'s other aunts, was home today since she didn't go to work. (l/n) walked downstairs as fast as she could to prevent her from getting stuck with Haruhi's conversations. But, that ended up not working.

"(y/n), make sure to stay safe when you go to swim practice!"

"I will," she replied while plugging in her ear buds into her ears, walking towards the door to meet with Noya.

"Oh yea, something happened at work yesterday! Basically one of my staff-"

"Tita, Yu's here so I have to go to swim practice before we're too late. You can tell me after practice though-" she got cut off while putting her shoes on. "Yu's here?" "Hi, Haruhi," he exclaimed while waving from the front door. "Yu, it's been so long-"

"BYE BYE GUYS, I LOVE YOU - SEE YOU LATER," (l/n) exclaimed while leaving the house, dragging Noya with her and closing the door. "I love my aunt and all but she always starts a conversation at the most wrong timing." Nishinoya stifled a laugh. "So, what are you listening to, to help you wake up?"

"The Tokyo Revengers opening." He looked at her in disappointment. "What?" "Chibi, you've been listening to that song for a whole week.." "It's catchy! Plus, would you rather have me listen to fake, sad, break up songs?" "THAT'S EVEN WORSE" "Exactly. The only time I listen to that kind of music is when I'm going to sleep. It's a whole different concept."

"And since you brought it up, how it's a different concept how is it different, Chibi?"

She stopped to think, leaving silence between the both of them. She started walking and said "Oh look, we're almost there!" Nishinoya laughed at how she changed the subject. "Oh shit." he said out of no where. "Hm? You okay?" "Kanemoto has to help me during swim practice today."

"HAHAHA, YOU'RE SCREWED!"

"SHUT UP, IT'S NOT FUNNY"

(l/n) was laughing as she walked towards the entrance, with Nishinoya following behind her. "(Y/N), WAIT FOR ME DUMBASS" "WE'RE GONNA BE LATE IF I WALK SLOW AS FUCK LIKE YOU!" And she was correct. The two of them were 10 minutes late to their first practice. They got scolded by their coaches but were off the hook since it was their first day. The 3rd year English teacher from their school was just behind them, holding a clipboard to check off attendance.

"Today you guys will be partnered randomly. Nishinoya, I know Kanemoto told you he was going to help you practice today, but your partner today is gonna be Mabuchi." He gave a confused look to the coach. "How come I just can't be partners with (y/n)?" "Cause it seems like you guys are already close to each other. This random partner thing is supposed to help you and the rest of the team get along and meet others!"

(l/n) just nodded. "Wait, then who's my partner?" she asked. "Kanemoto! He's been practicing for a bit so don't make him wait any longer." And with that, the coaches left the two. "Good luck," Nishinoya said to (l/n). "I'm gonna need it." The two split up to look for their partners.

WITH NISHINOYA :

Nishinoya found Mabuchi after a few minutes of searching. She was adjusting her goggles and as she looked up she waved at Nishinoya. "Yu, right?" "Yea, that's actually my first name!" "Alright, Yu! Let's do this! First, we're gonna time each other's freestyle 2 times." Mabuchi explained the rest of what they were doing to Nishinoya. 

He offered to time her first since he was still a little clueless on what they were doing. Swimming from one end and back to the other, Mabuchi climbed out of the pool. "So what's my time, Yu?" "I'm sorry, but can you please stop using my first name? It's kind of making me uncomfortable." She apologized as he was a little frustrated. He didn't let it show, however. Practice went on and the two of them were getting along quite well.

WITH (L/N) :

"Wait so we're just timing our freestyles," she asked for the third time to make sure. "C'mon, (y/n), I explained this to you a thousand times already. Now, since you were late, I think you should go first." Kanemoto said as a joke to tease her. She playfully nudged him. She looked over to the other pools to check on how Nishinoya was doing. She saw how the two were laughing together.

A few seconds later she felt a weird feeling, but she went into the pool to get timed. Kanemoto noticed what she saw, but he didn't wanna bring it up. "You ready?"

"Yep," she had said as she got into her position.

[TIMESKIP : AFTER PRACTICE]

"You and Mabuchi, huh?" (l/n) teased as she walked towards Nishinoya after exiting the locker room. "What do you mean," he questioned. "You guys were laughing so much during practice. I see you, Yu! Pulling girls already?"

"Shut up! It isn't like that. You know I have feelings for you, and you only."

"Wow, so straightforward today," she said, soon laughing a bit. "Well what about you and Kanemoto? Seemed like you two were having a good time too."

"Yu, you're definition of a good time is concerning. I was pushing him around half the time."

"Honestly man, spending time with you is always a good time! You can't blame me," he hugged her before she slightly pushed him away. "Too tight, Yu." "Sorry! Oh yea, Mabuchi was using my first name during the beginning of practice. It was kind of weird since you're usually the only person who uses it other than my family."

"Bro, what if she likes you?" He flicked her on the forehead. "Ow, what's that for?" "Even if she did like me, I'd turn her down."

"IM JUST SAYING...

...what if she does though?"

a/n : i honestly don't know if i'm satisfied with this chapter or not but ITS OK !! let's hope i didn't make any errors in this chapter..  IM ALSO A TWO WHOLE WEEKS LATE AND IM SORRY FOR THAT ☹️‼️
