"Okay so you press this button to go forward and this one to go backwards," Micah spoke in Spanish. He was sat down with Axel while trying to show him how to use his toy remote car.

"Okay!" Axel exclaimed and took the controller. He tried pressing the buttons while sucking on his finger. But the car didn't move much.

"Why no?" Axel began to whine and shake the controller.

"Is it not working?" Micah asked, trying to see what's wrong.

Axel shook his head and tried pressing it again. The car still wouldn't move, and he grew frustrated and threw it down. He began crying out loud and so Micah picked up the controller and car.

Axel came back to him and leaned on his shoulder, watching him fix it. He sucked on his pacifier while tugging on one of Micah's coils. Micah smiled and rubbed his cheeks.

It was so much fun having a son to do things with Micah thought. He had forgotten what this felt like as it seemed like such a long time ago. Such a long time that the last was probably when he was around five.

He then opened the lid under and realized that the batteries weren't pushed in properly.

"No wonder it wasn't working," Micah muttered and pushed it back in.

"There you go, it should work now." Micah handed him back his toy and he settled it down. Axel again pressed the button and the car zoomed forward. He squealed and ran after it.

"It fix!" He exclaimed as the pacifier rolled out of his mouth, "It fix, it fix!"

Micah ran after him, and they followed the car like chain of trains. The little driver zoomed all around the living room like it was trying to run away from them.

"Try getting it to come back to you using the remote," Micah said.

"How?" Axel mumbled, slowing down a bit and using the remote.

"Press down and make it come to us so you don't have to go and pick it up." He stood behind and watched Axel fiddle with it.

"Do you want me to do it?"

Axel shook his head and Micah watched as he tried doing it himself. The car reversed its backside a little but at a snail-like pace. Axel was struggling a little and kept shaking the stick.

"Here, I can get it back." Micah tried reaching for it, but Axel moved it away and for a moment, he was almost going to shout at him due to his growing impatience, but he decided against it as he didn't want to upset him. He wanted to be a better parent than his own father.

Axel eventually went and got it himself. He lifted it up in the air and cheered, "I got!"

He ran back and waved it in the air, "Daddy, I got!"

"Well done, buddy!" Micah high-fived him and then gave him a big hug.

Suddenly, Mariana came through the door in with Elisa.

"Hey guys, what are you doing?"

"Hey Mari, we were just playing with this car."

"Aw, that's nice, I just painted Elisa's nails while she was on the potty." She brought her forward who showed off her sparkly toes.

"Do you like my nails daddy?" Elisa sweetly asked.

"Yes, they are lovely princess." Micah smiled down at her.

"Thanks!" Elisa exclaimed and then stood in front of Axel, "do you like them Axel?"

"Pwetty!" He said and tapped them like a xylophone.
