3 years later from Epilogue...

It was a brimming day and Micah was inside the kitchen in his restaurant. He was cooking up a meal that someone ordered and business was thriving. It was close to evening and there was a performance going on stage while most of the dining area was filled. He could hear the chatters of people pleasantly eating and it made his whole face shine.

He was wearing his favorite chef hat today. He liked this particular one because Mariana had knitted his name onto it with a smaller text underneath saying best chef ever.

When he finished with the dish, he took it out and brought it to the old lady who asked for it. She thanked him and before he could return to the kitchen, one of the waiters rushed to him.

"Micah, your father is here and is asking for you."

"Okay thanks," Micah said and then walked in the direction he came from. He went between the tables that were draped with a white cloth. The floors were lit with a fiery red by the chandelier that dazzled around. The curtains were drawn but left a tiny tent, letting the dusk in slowly.

He eventually found his dad sitting at a round table. He waited patiently with his hands clasped together. His hair was grizzled gray and cut short. He also lost some weight in the past few years.

"Hi Dad," Micah said and hugged him. He loved it when one of his family came to visit.

"Hey, how are you, Micah?" He asked with a smile gleaming on his face. He regularly came in the evenings to see how his son's restaurant was doing. Micah found it funny how someone who used to be so against the idea, was now one of his best customers.

"Good! The place is full today and we got lots of customers coming in." Micah grinned. The smell of food bubbled in his nose as he breathed it in. It almost felt too good to be true. Like a dream.

"I'm glad to hear that Micah. I just wanted to drop in and see how you were doing since I was in the area," he said with a sincere tone in his voice. He was happy to see his son like this and that they talk regularly now without arguing.

"Well, I'm doing okay. How are you and Mom?"

"I'm good, but your mother is not feeling too well. So I went out to get some food for her."

"Oh, is she alright?" He leaned more forward so he can hear his dad better over all the noise.

"Yeah, she's just resting in bed right now. She should be better in a few days."

"Oh okay, that's good." Micah sighed with relief. He wiped his forehead from sweat and sat down opposite.

"Before I forget, I brought something for you," Aidan said and brought up a bag off the floor.

"What is it?" Micah spun the bag around. He then opened it and his eyes sparkled seeing a new sauce. He grabbed it out of the bag and held it into the light.

"I thought you can use it in any of your dishes."

"Thanks, dad." Micah smiled warmly at him. "I'll use it on the food that I'll prepare for you and Mom."

"Thanks, son." He patted Micah on the shoulders and had a broad smile plastered on his face. "Also, this weekend, do you want to do something together? If you're not working."

"Sure. I'll like to do something. What do you have in mind?"

"I was thinking we could go fishing. How does that sound?"

"That sounds great! I'll see if any of my kids want to come," Micah said while grinning. He felt so happy to be doing these things with his dad and spending time together without any distractions. He could never imagine something like this happening all those years ago.

"Speaking of your kids, I see them coming right now," Aidan said and pointed behind Micah. He turned around and saw Elisa racing towards them with Axel and Luis following them behind.

"Hi, Daddy!" Elisa piped up and squeezed Micah tightly.

"Hi my princess, how are you?" Micah said and kissed her cheek.

"I'm good daddy. But me and Axel brought our friends here and we were wondering where the menus were."

"Oh, I'll send a waiter to give them to you."

"Thank you!" She exclaimed as Axel and Luis came right beside her. They turned to Aidan and said, "hi Abuelo!"

"Hey kids, how are you?" Aidan said. He always loved seeing his grandchildren as he was so close to never meeting them.

"Good! I got a football match this Friday and I'm really looking forward to it," Axel said while grinning.

"Really? That's great. I'll come and watch you with your parents."

"Thanks, Abuelo," Axel said.

"Daddy, I'm hungry." Luis suddenly turned and leaned on Micah's leg. He sighed as Micah started stroking his hair.

"Don't worry, you'll soon get your food." Micah picked up Luis and settled him on his lap. He bounced him a little while keeping him steady.

"By the way when did you guys arrive?" Micah asked, looking at his older children.

"Like 10 minutes ago," Axel replied.

"Okay, that's not too bad. Don't worry, you'll get served soon." He placed Luis down who then ran to Aidan. "I'm going to go back to the kitchen now but I'll make sure you guys get served and you won't have to wait any longer."

"Thanks, daddy," Elisa said and grabbed Luis' hand. "Come on, Axel let's go back to our table."

"Bye, dad!" Axel said.

"Bye!" He hugged them and his father before getting up. He went back to the kitchen to make a meal for his dad. His smile didn't rub off his lips as everything in his life was as perfect as it could be. He had a wonderful family with Mariana, his dream job, and a good relationship with his dad.
