When Mariana came downstairs, she slugged all the way into the kitchen in her half-opened gray nightgown. Since nobody was awake yet, she wasn't bothered of tying it.
She leaned over the kitchen counter and then took a glass cup and filled it with tap water. Her mind was still on cloud nine from last night as she quickly chugged down the cool liquid.
"Hey Mariana." Micah came behind and pressed against her back. He kissed along her shoulders as his arms wrapped around her tightly.
"Are you fully happy now?" He asked as he lifted her by her belly, making her squeak lightly.
"Yeah, thank you." Her head shot up at him and she smiled with those cherry lips.
"That's good. Also, do you still want to go out?" He let go of her and leaned on the counter.
"To the beach? Yeah of course."
"Okay, let's have breakfast and then we can make the spaghetti after." He reached out and squeezed her cheeks.
"Alright, but I wanna do the kids hair before we leave."
"Okay that's fine. We can get them washed and in time for them to be styled," he said and leaned on the counter.
"Okay, thank you!" Mariana said and pecked him lightly on the lips.
When everyone was up, they ate breakfast and Mariana and Micah prepared the spaghetti together. They played the clean version of My Type by Saweetie from their phones, and Mariana heated the tomato sauce in a pan.
"Hennessy on my lips, take a little sip, privacy on the door imma make that grip," Mariana sang and jumped into Micah's arms. He swung her around as she poured olive oil into the pan.
She cut the salami into cubes and then added the other ingredients they brought.
Mariana's joy had risen up from the ground. She enjoyed herself as Elisa and Axel ran around with Rio behind, chasing each other with paintbrushes. They cried out as the spaghetti finished boiling in the pot. They then mixed it with the sauce and evaporated milk before garnishing it with Parmesan cheese.
When they were finished, Mariana changed into a summer dress and braided her hair into dutch braids and finished with two buns.
They washed their kids' hair together and Mariana placed Elisa down into her high chair. Micah gave her his phone to play Talking Ginger to keep her distracted.
Mariana then glided down the rat tail comb and applied jojoba oil to the scalp. Elisa jerked her head to the sides and moved as Mariana tried keeping her still.
She did the same hairstyle as Elisa was feeding Ginger, moving her head around and fidgeting. It caused her to pull the comb hard, making Elisa cry and smack it away.
Mariana tried calming her down by spreading kisses all over her face. She did enjoy these moments when doing her hair. She felt closer to her daughter as it was one of her favorite bonding moments. Like when her own mother used to do her hair for special events when they stayed in Florence.
"*Hey Elisa, how about we do some affirmations while mommy does your hair?" Mariana suggested in Italian.
"*Okay," she mumbled into her shirt.
Mariana cleared her throat and started: "*I am strong!"
"*I'm strong," she repeated with her voice dried up.
"*I am loved!"
"*I'm loved..."
"*I love my hair!"
