Elizabeth's pov

"Come on sweetheart. You've checked everything enough now. Come to the common room with me" Draco sighed.

We leave for my parents house tomorrow and I'm quite worked up about the whole thing. Excited but also nervous and I've been coping by checking through everything over and over.

"But what if I forgot something?" I half whine at him.

"Then you would have noticed one of the seventeen times you packed and repacked whilst checking everything off a list. You're well organised, now come on baby. I'm not going to ask again, I will just carry you out of here if I have to" he grinned, holding a hand out. I took a moment to pout at him but accepted his hand and let him lead me from the room.

Over the time that I have been with Draco, I gradually got used to the darkness of the slytherin common room which was a polar opposite to the bright and cheery hufflepuff one. I had also got used to spending time with his group of friends. Pansy enjoyed the female company and I knew without fail that she'd always defend me. Even Blaise had warmed up to me somehow. He denies it but I think it has something to do with the red velvet cookies I made a few weeks ago.

So I sat in their common room. On a big sofa with my head in pansy's lap as she played with my hair.

"That's exactly what I said" she squealed excitedly and accidentally pulled my hair. I yelped a little and she looked down apologetically. "Sorry doll" she soothed and carried on talking animatedly.

I was laying there quite quietly and I was practically half asleep as they were talking. Snuggling into Pansy a little more I let myself drift off.

"Of course I'm nervous. It's her whole family we're talking about. What if they don't like me?" I heard Draco say when I woke up a little later, worry etched into his voice.

"Don't worry mate, I'm sure they'll love you." Blaise said, an edge of sarcasm in his voice. "Seriously though, you've managed to win her over and she's a complete opposite of you. That girl is overwhelmingly happy, like sunshine as a person. A bit unnaturally happy if you ask me." he finished in a disgruntled tone.

Pansy hummed, stroking my hair as she thought I was still sleeping. "You'll be fine Draco, you needn't worry so much!"

"What if they hate me?" He mumbled uncertainty scratched into his voice.

"Why would they hate you? You make their daughter so happy" Pansy offered gently, her tone soft.

I didn't hear a response and so wriggled a little, pretending that I had just woke up.

"Aw, you awake now?" Pansy hummed.

"No, you're hallucinating" I retorted with a roll of my eyes and she returned the gesture. Then pulled a lock of my hair making me squeal.

"Brat." She mutters with a fond smile. I rolled my eyes again but was smiling this time.

"You don't know the half of it Pans" Draco scoffed and I immediately blushed as both Pansy and Blaise raised their eyebrows before looking towards me. I practically threw myself to face head down in Pansy's lap as I blushed hard and heard them all chuckle.

"Can't say I'm surprised" Pansy mumbled as she smoothed my skirt that had ridden up at the sudden movement. "Makes a lot of sense actually"

"Pansy please for the love of Merlin shut up" I hissed, half amused half embarrassed.

"Hm I'll think about it" She laughed.

"Ugh. I'm too tired for this" I turned to face her with a pout and she just smiled down at me before calling me a "Poor little baby" in a mocking tone.
