Draco's pov

Lizzy was practically bouncing around the room. I'd agreed to go Christmas shopping and didn't realise how excited she would get.

It was a Saturday and she had turned up to my room at 8am already dressed and shocked that I wasn't ready.

Her knocking on the door woke me up and I was half asleep.

"Darling I need to get ready. I won't be long, just wait a bit." I say pushing her to sit on the sofa.

I get some clothes from my wardrobe and go to get changed. When I return she's still eager and happy. I put my coat on and drape the scarf she made me around my neck before spraying on some cologne.

Before we leave I tie her scarf around her neck because otherwise she will constantly complain about being cold. She smiles up at me as we walk to Hogsmeade.

"You're in a very good mood angel" I say as she skips along.

"I'm so excited about Christmas this year." She grins at me.

"That's good my love, me too" I say. I am quite looking forward to spending Christmas with her and her family. It's never that big of a deal at my house and her excitement is contagious.

We go to practically every single shop and by the time we turn back to go to school, we're both weighed down with shopping bags.

At one point she trips. Landing on her front and grazing her knees and the heels of her hands. Her shopping bags land around her and I put all of mine down. I go to lift her up and see that her eyes are all welled up with tears.

I pull her close to my chest and stroke her back. She sniffles quietly and I kiss her forehead.

I use some magic to produce a trolley and put all of the bags on it and then hold her hand and bring her under my arm.

"You okay Princess?" I ask her in a quiet voice as we walk back.

"Yes Sir" she whispers in response.

"Hold on a second. Just stay there." I say, moving things around on the trolley. Then I go round behind her and lift her up. Scooping her into the gap so that she can sit down and face me as I push the trolley.

She giggles and smiles at me.

We go the whole way back and she's more chatty now.

A little while later we're back up in my room and she's sprawled out on the floor wrapping up some gifts with snowflake printed brown paper and white ribbon. She's very neat and strategic and she talks through all of the gifts, who they're for and a bit of information about each person.

I sit there on the sofa closest to her and listen. Asking a question or confirming something every now and then.

"You know you could just use magic to wrap them angel?" I tell her, sitting next to her on the floor.

"But it's not as personal then?" She tells me, scrunching up her little nose at the idea.

"I suppose so" I mumble. "I guess I better get wrapping then?" I suggest and she nods excitedly.

"I've finished all of my wrapping now, do you need any help?" She asks sweetly, putting her large pile of wrapped presents into boxes and bags.

"That would be great" I respond. Putting all the gifts I got for her in a few big bags before shoving them in an empty spot in my wardrobe whilst her back is turned for a moment.

She smiles up at me and I sit next to her to start wrapping. She wraps everything very neatly whilst I struggle to get it to look perfect.

We'd split the pile into even halves but by the time she's finished her pile I'm only on my second one. Slightly frustrated I stare over at her with a sigh.
