Elizabeth's pov
True to his promise as always he made me go to bed a bit early.
The first night I thought that he had forgotten. I was sitting in the hufflepuff common room when one of the first years came rushing over to me.
"Um Elizabeth there's a boy at the door to see you. He's scary!" She tells me and I give her a hug and get her settled with her friends before going to the door.
I knew it had to be Draco so when I got there I was a bit annoyed that he had scared one of the precious little first years.
"What do you need Draco? You scared a first year!" I tell him stepping out in to the hallway.
"Well I needed to speak to you didn't I. Come on" he tells me trying to pull me by the wrist.
"I'm reading" I say to him standing rooted to the spot.
"You're being stubborn aren't you?" He sighs. I still just stand there not caring about him getting irritated. I ignored him and turn away.
"You should have come nicely Elizabeth" he huffs.
Before I knew it he has picked me up and thrown me over his shoulder and then has casually began walking to his room.
I complain the whole time and try to get down. Wiggling my legs and hitting his back whilst pleading for him to let me down.
"Stay still and be quiet or going to bed early won't be the only punishment you get every day this week" he scolds me with a hard smack to my butt.
I stop flailing and just submit to him. Luckily we don't see anyone on the way.
He carries me through the rather empty slytherin common room and up the stairs to the room where I will be sleeping and practically threw me on the bed.
"You need to stop being so bloody stubborn. I intended to tell you that it was only going to be 20 minutes earlier but now I'm not sure that I'm feeling that kind. Get changed and then come to my room. You have ten minutes." He tells me then leaves.
I stay on the bed for a moment or two. Then get up and get changed into my pyjamas. It was 9:40, the time that the first and second years went to bed. Once I was ready I went in to Dracos room. He was sitting at his desk.
"You're not yourself today Sir" I say quietly as he stands to face me.
"What do you mean Elizabeth?" He asks me, standing very close all of a sudden.
"Um I just mean that you seem stressed Sir. Not as relaxed as normal." I tell him and he looks down at me.
He sighs gently. "Good observation Sweetheart. I am stressed." He admits sitting down on the sofa.
"Is there anything you want to talk about? I'm a good listener." I tell him walking over to stand in front of him.
He reaches his arms to my waist and pulls me into his lap. I wrap my arms around him in a tight hug and we just sit there in that warm embrace for a while.
Eventually he sits back a little and I bring my arms away, back into my lap.
"It's my father" he says quietly.
"What about him?" I ask, straightening the collar of his shirt and fiddling with his tie.
"He's a very difficult man who wants me to do some things that I refuse to do. So I have to deal with his disappointment." He tells me looking away. Then to lighten the subject, "you're not the only stubborn one."
