Archer's POV

???: Archer, wake up! Archer wake up!

I awoke to the sound of some music faintly playing in the background and Ruby shaking me awake.

"Hm? Where are we?"

Ruby: Silly, don't you remember? WeflewonthebulkheadtogotoValebutwethentookanapbutyoupromisedtowakemeupbutIhadtowakeyouupsonowyouowemeextracookies!

To any other person besides her dad, sister, and I that would have sounded like complete gibberish but since I'm an expert in translating Ruby-nese as I've coined it, I understand everything she said word for word.

"God damnit. My poor wallet."

"Alright then, let's get a move on shall we?"

We exited the bulkhead and looked around the city, we saw a few shops and restaurants lining up the streets.

Ruby: Ooh, Archer, can we please go to a restaurant?!

"What? Didn't you eat breakfast?"

Ruby: Uh, no. I didn't eat any because I heard that you were out of your coma and wanted to go see you.

"Aww, ain't that sweet? She definitely cares."

"Alright Ruby, we can go eat at a restaurant. But nothing fancy!"

Ruby: Don't worry Archer, I'm not Weiss!

(Somewhere in Beacon a certain silver haired girl is studying in the library and suddenly sneezes.)

"Yikes. Throwing shade at Weiss now huh Ruby?"

Ruby: No! It's not what I meant!

"I know, I'm just teasing ya. So where you wanna go eat we've been standing on the sidewalk for a little while."

Ruby seemed to take some thought into choosing what restaurant to go to. After about 30 seconds she quickly shot her head up at me and raised her finger.

Ruby: Ah ha! Let's go to IHOP!

"Alright, but just incase let's not say a certain word because it might just attract a certain person who is insane about them."

Ruby giggles at the thought of Nora having extraordinary hearing just for the word pancakes. We continued walking down the sidewalk for a couple more minutes just walking and talking about random things like hobbys or interests. Stuff like that.

Ruby: So Archer, since we never really had the time to catch up due to us being y'know busy with school, what've you been up to these past few years?

"Well to be honest, I've been busy with my job really aswell as the fact that I was busy with school before I went to a combat school then y'know came to Beacon."

Ruby: Oh, well how's Sarah? I haven't seen her in a while either.

"Well she's good, haven't heard from her in a while ever since I left for Beacon. I'll probably text her later. But besides that she's been, well... Sarah. We both know how she is."

Ruby: Yeah, I know what you mean. Sarah is just being good old Sarah.

"Well since we're on the subject of siblings, how's Yang been doing? I know that she probably missed me just as much as you did."

Ruby: Well you would be right. Ever since you stopped visiting us for whatever reason I would sometimes catch her in her room hugging a pillow crying. She really did miss you Archer. Even when we reunited on the bulkhead after initiation she couldn't stop talking about you and how different you looked and talked. And when we discovered that you got into a coma she took it pretty hard just like I did although she won't admit it. While you were in a coma I would always hear her mumbling to herself about how stupid you were for getting yourself stabbed.
