GR: Comms check.
"Go for Archer."
GR: Alright Archer, I know you're supposed to be back at Beacon having some R&R due to the incident earlier this week, but something serious came up and you were the only one available.
"We've always got something serious to take care of."
GR: I know Archer, and I hate having to do this but, orders are orders. Anyways your mission is to find this creature and kill it. Simple as.
"When you say 'simple as' there's usually a complication. What's the not so simple part?"
GR: You know me so well. The not so simple part is that we have no clue as to where it it. All we know is that Forever Falls is its home turf.
"So finding a needle in a haystack. Great."
GR: I know you Archer, you got this.
"Thanks Grimm Reaper. Damn, since when did you get so sweet?"
I heard Grimm Reaper chuckle.
GR: Oh shut up Archer.
I heard some voices in the background that got a bit louder.
GR: Uh oh, I gotta run. Good luck Archer, happy hunting.
"Be seeing you Grimm Reaper. Archer out."
I moved my hand back down from my earpiece as I looked around the forest. This place is fucking huge. I double-check my weapons to make sure they're prepped for this. My FN Five-seveN was loaded, SC 20K was ready also loaded with Sticky Shocker, and my new weapon I got from Ruby was on my waist just below the SC20K on my back. The weapon in question was on the back of my waist because not only do I not have enough room on my back it would also be more efficient from the waist to withdraw it too. The holster that held it was special since it was practically on my belt but I could move it to a different section of my waist and I could rotate it depending on what side of my waist I want to withdraw it with.
*when I say a holster on the back of the waist, think of Genji when you use the deflect ability. He has a holster on his waist which he draws with his left hand but here it's the same way but since Archer is right-handed he'll be drawing from his right.*
The weapon is a special sort of katana, the blade can have electricity course through the blade giving it a bit of extra damage and Ruby being the genius she is, managed to make it be able to use emotion to make its hits stronger and have a stronger bond with the user, which is me. My suit was a bit different too, it was the exact same suit except it was in a camo color and pattern that matched the forest. My SC20K had cloth and fabric wrapped around it with the same color too. I had been crouching ontop of a tree branch for the past 15 minutes waiting for the all clear from Grimm Reaper. I jumped off the branch with a front flip and landed superhero style.
"Aw fuck my knees!"
Yeah I forgot, first time I tried a superhero landing I killed my legs. Guess I forgot that superhero landing kills the knees and shins. I got up after wincing in pain on the ground and began walking around the forest in a hunched posture with my right hand on the grip of my katana ready to draw it if needed.
