At lunch I tried to avoid everyones comments about the bruises on my face by going to the library. Unfortunately for me the people at my school actually use the library. That's the down side of going to a fancy boarding school, everyone's very into education. It's kinda like Rorys school in Gilmore Girls.

I ended up in Robins office letting her tend to my wounds.

"The bruising should go down in the next few days and the cut on your lip seems to e healing fast already"Robbin said as she rubbed cream onto my black eye.

"Thanks" I said with a half smile. Robbin walked back over to her desk and sat down across from me.

"So are you going to tell me what happened?" she asked crossing her legs

"It's not really that important, i'm fine" I lied.

"Alright then, tell me about your friends" she said changing the subject. She understood that I didn't want to talk about what happened to me.

"I don't have any" she just nodded at my response.

"Family?"

I shrugged.

"You must have someone" Robin's face was beginning to scrunch up a little and I could tell she was trying to hide how concerned she was.

"Not really. It's always just been mum and I but she called me the other week to say she wasn't coming home" I told her. Wow my life's sad.

"I'm sorry to hear that" she said with a sympathetic tone "Surly you must have some relative close by though"

"I have a brother here. But I only just found out about him and were not fully siblings we just share the same dad. He goes here but he kinda hates me. I have no one" As the words left my mouth I realised just how much I had been keeping to myself in the past few weeks. I haven't had anyone to talk to. It felt good talking to Robbin.

"What's his name?"

"Ash Anderson, he's a senior"

"Ash Anderson is related to you? I mean now that I think about it you do look alike. You are definitely my favourite sibling" she said with a wink. This made me giggle.

"I don't think he's too happy to be related to me though" I tell her truthfully.

"Hey, don't sell yourself short you're amazing"

"Just telling the truth" I mumbled fiddling with my hands.

Robbin didn't say anymore about it and we ended up talking about her and her fiancée for the rest of lunch. She could sense how uncomfortable I was so she changed the subject.

For the rest of the week I would go to her room instead of the cafeteria and we talked about all kinds of things.

She tried to help me find where my mum is by looking through my school record. Unfortunately she didn't find anything but it made me feel all warm and fuzzy that she tried.

I was relieved when Friday rolled around. Not because I didn't like talking with Robbin but because I hated everything else about school. I had one more English class with Ash and Seth this week but Harlee came up to be and spat at me before I went in.

I had a panic attack thinking about what would happen if she found out I was in a group project with them and ended up in Robbins office. I spent the period trying to clam down and Robbin gave me some water while she tended to other kids who came in with headaches or scratches.
