Harmony
I've transformed into a new person. I'm trying to forgive and forget about the situation, but mostly trying to forget about it. I'm building my very own gym and a hair salon. I'm moving out of this apartment and going somewhere bigger and better. Hayden and Zamariah haven't seen there father ever since the incident. Hayden wants nothing to do with him. I understand that he did me totally wrong but that's still his father. Whatever happens between me and him will stay between me and him. I don't want to drag my children in the middle but that's too late. Zamariah cries for his punk ass at times and it's aggravating but she's just a kid she doesn't understand a thing.
Hayden is about to turn 17. My baby is growing up. He's the co-caption of the varsity football team, he has straight A's and he has a job. The only thing he's missing is a car. As a birthday gift I'm getting him one so he can stop taking mine all the time when I do allow him to.
Currently I was making dinner. I wanted to ask Hayden if it was okay if his father attended his birthday party.
"Hayden! Come down here please!" I put the collard greens in the pot and let them cook. His heavy footsteps echoed throughout the apartment. "Yes ma?" he said looking down at me. He was very tall for his age, it's very intimidating. "I was thinking since your birthday is coming up, we can have a party with your friends and stuff and of course family members. I wanted to know if your father can be invited?" I said turning around at the part.
He laughed. I turned around and raised my eyebrow.. "Why would I want him to be there? He said after his fit of laughter died down. "Hayden he's your father you need to stop it. Whatever happens between us is none of your business." I said sighing. "It's none of my business? When you were crying your eyes out at night and making me sleep with you it was none of my business? He hurt you. Seeing you like that HURT ME! I never want to see you cry like that ever again. That was the most hardest thing for me to ever go through. I took care of you when you couldn't take care of yourself. IT IS MY BUSINESS! FUCK HIM. I DON'T NEED HIM. KEEP HIS ASS AWAY FROM ME. THAT'S NOT MY DAD AND THAT WILL NEVER BE MY DAD." he yelled taking my car keys and heading towards the door, slamming it on his way out.
I stood there silently. I didn't know what to say or do. My son hates his own father. I turned the stove off and slid my back against the cold wall and sat on the floor.
"Lord what did I do to deserve this?" I questioned myself as I started crying and praying. This is all my fault.
