SKYLA’S P.O.V
I woke up to the suns rays and baby Skyla’s little adorable waking face….
I slipped into the shower and got dressed for school to see her waking up….She looks grumpy in the mornings.
“What rattled your cage?” I chuckled as she sent me a glare.
“Can’t wait to see your papa, eh?” I smiled teasing her as her cheeks turned red and she huffed turning away… “Aye….what an attitude”
“her papa?” Eric’s voice came from my doorway.
“Eric? Hey! Morning” I smiled at him.
“You seem cherry and full of life today” Eric groaned.
“Of course….I enjoy her being mad” I grinned.
“It’s not very enjoyable” Eric sighed picking his daughter off my queen-sized bed. “About her papa?”
“ A teammate of mine she really likes a lot….she calls him papa” I explained carrying my bag up.
“Oh? Do you like him too then?” Eric asked.
“Of course I do…we’re teammates” I said kissing his cheek and walking out of my room to go downstairs.
“No like in personal interest?” Eric further questioned.
“He’s nice?” I said unsure… “Why the details though?”
“Those aren’t details when I haven’t asked his name” Eric smirked as I gave him a bored look skipping the last staircase and walking to the dining room.
“Axel Blaze” I said taking my seat next to Alice.
“What about him?” Sky asked.
“Hmm” I asked taking a bite from my sandwich.
“Skyla junior’s being calling him papa” Eric explained.
“Doesn’t that mean baby for daddy?” Alice asked unsure.
“Yeah” Eric sent me a wink as I choked on my food.
“I lost my appetite…Goodbye family..bye mom” I kissed my mom bye as I carried Junior and her necessities out the door into the car to school….I don’t walk to school with a fussy baby at times like this.

I saw  Nathan, Axel, Jude, Eric and Silvia huddled up together.
“Good morning” I chirped handing the now happy Skyla to Axel who gladly took her from me. “What’s up?”

“Mark…..is depressed” Silvia summed it up for me.
“Since when did that happen?” I asked worried.
“We don’t know” Eric said.
“I think it’s yesterday’s match” Axel sighed as I tapped his shoulder.
“Hey let’s get to class” Jude said.
“It’s weird….Mark’s never been like that” Jude stated.
“I’m sure it’s some sort of phase….I mean….it’s bound to happen…Not everyone can be so cherry go lucky…..” I trailed off as they gave me a blank stare.
“Too much?” I asked as Nathan chuckled.
“Not so much” Nathan patted my shoulder as we walked to class.

I watched the teacher write the equations on the board.
I focused on solving it in my notebook but looked up to see Mark out of it….Ah….That’s never a good sign.
Junior was on the teacher’s table playing with harmless chalk.
“Mark…Mark….Mark!” The teacher called until Mark eventually stood up calling his own name.
“Mark?!” Mark said.
“Don’t space out….solve this problem” The teacher said.
“O-okay” Mark said rushing up to the board….evidently failing the question until I had to go help him instead.
“And this is why you always pay attention in class” I snapped my fingers in axel’s face who has focused on Mark instead.
“It’s your turn up the board mister” I smirked as he rolled his eyes fixating it back on Junior.

I was up at the chairman’s office….helping Nelly with some staff work and all… when silvia came in.
“Mark is…? That’s not good. It’ll affect everyone else” Nelly said.
“I don’t know what I should say to him” Silvia sighed
“Even though you’ve been the manager longer than I have?” Nelly asked.
“I don’t mean as a manager” Silvia stated as my ears perked up keen on listening. “It’s just that it’s not the Mark that we’re familiar with…..”
“I’d just continue watching him over.” Nelly said.
“Watch him over?” I questioned her.
“In the first place, for such a weak team to suddenly rise to the finals, it’s amazing that they’ve defied the impossible….It’s no surprise that he’s nervous.” Nelly explained.
“That’s true” Silvia mused.
“It’s all right…It’s also one of the roles of the manager to not say anything during times like this.” Nelly said. “So I’ll ask something of you too”
“Ask me?” Silvia asked.
“Hello ladies…I’m still here” I closed the laptop and handed her the printed files.
“Yes. Thank you” Nelly collected the files and continued. “ I have to go to my father’s place right now. Watch over Mark, please”
