The bell rang, signalling the end of the first period. Everyone wasted no time in moving after greeting the teacher. The next period was the first gym class they were gonna have after officially becoming highschoolers.
"Hey! Shin-chan! Wake up!", Nene patted his back as she tried to wake Shinnosuke up from his deep sleep.
" Un~ just a bit more.", he murmured as he went right back into sleep like nothing happened.
"That's so unlike him. He loves gym class. Wake up!" Masao said as he tried to wake him up too, but failed.
"This idiot! He even forgot his bag at home. Is there even a point in him staying at school today? He should take a leave." Nene said as she packed her things. "Kazama-kun, let's go. This is the gym class." Said Nene as she walked out of the door.
"I don't have my gym uniform yet. I have already informed the teacher when I received my schedule so I am allowed to sit out." Kazama explained as he took out a big book that seemed like something he carried around everywhere. An English book. Well, it was normal for him. Apart from being obsessed with English for the sake of speaking it, he also developed an interest for literature itself. The big book seemed like it had a lot of interesting poems and stories as Kazama wasted no time diving into it.
"Still the same as before, you haven't changed. You are so organised." Masao said as he glanced over his head to see what the book was about, but couldn't understand a word so he gave up.
"I would love to give a book to you about rocks. It's in English. Maybe you could also translate it for me." Bo smiled as he spoke.
"Someone here also hasn't changed a bit." Kazama giggled as he indicated Bo to Masao. All of them had a hearty laugh before Masao and Bo went out of the class. Slowly, everyone was gone.
"Oh. It's just ... me and him." Kazama thought as he took a quick glance at the sleeping Shinnosuke before returning to the book.
"Kazama-kun." Kazama got startled by the sudden voice that came out of the apparently sleeping Shinnosuke.
He turned and looked at him. He saw Shinnosuke's eyes peeking through his face that was stuffed in his arms as his head was rested on the table. He looked sleepy.
"Yeah?" Kazama spoke as he returned to his book again.
"How have you been?" Shinnosuke spoke formally, very unlikely of himself.
"What's with that tone, haha", Kazama chuckled as he was fixated at his book.
" I don't know, I feel... Tired. How have you been?"
"I have been great. How have you been?"
Kazama also spoke in formal tone to tease Shinnosuke."Ora too. (Me too)" Shinnosuke murmured, "I... really thought you would sit next to me... you know. I think... you have changed."
Kazama stopped reading his book and looked at Shinnosuke. His smile had worn off as he muttered, "Why do you think so?"
"I told you, I don't know." Shinnosuke said as he attempted to sit up straight but ended up laying back on his seat completely with his head swaying down.
"I feel... dizzy.""What?" Kazama put his book down as he turned towards Shinnosuke.
"I... Said that I... Don't know."
"Huh? What are you-" Kazama stopped speaking as he suddenly realised that Shinnosuke's face was a bit red.
"Do you have a fever?" He asked
"Do I?" Shinnosuke replied.
"That's what I am asking idiot."
Kazama stood up and went up close to Shinnosuke. He pushed back his sweat soaked bangs and touched his forehead.
"That's... You have a fever." He said in an alarmed tone.
