"Okay, that is everyone! We aren't missing any, are we?", the teacher concluded the roll call and gave clear to the line of students to get on the bus. That morning was especially windy, and dark clouds were scattered around in the sky for the time being, probably with intentions to group together later. But the weather didn't stop the excited teens from going on their only field trip of the season, seemingly pretty pathetic for other people since it was only a half day picnic, in a sense. But that was all they got and they were gonna love every bit of it.
"Um, Sensei?"
A meek voice grabbed the teacher's attention, who turned around to see an already nervous boy amongst boarding students staring up at him.
The teacher came closer, "What is it, Sato-kun? Do you have motion sickness? Well, in that case-"
"N-No! I don't have motion sickness or anything.", Masao denied and kept looking back as if glancing at someone, "I wanted to tell you that we are missing one p-person."
The teacher checked the roll list again to make sure that he had been right, "Who is it? I don't see anyone on the list missing?"
"W-Well, uh, that's- I mean... ", Masao couldn't keep up with his words and his frantic glancing behind him increased.
"It's Nohara Shinnosuke, Sensei.", a saviour's voice answered, making Masao almost drop a happy tear. He vigorously nodded to back the saviour, Kazama's statement up.
The teacher look bewildered for a short moment, "Are you guys playing a prank on me or something? That guy's presence is marked right here, or are you trying to say that I made a mistake? Nohara Shinnosuke! Who is Nohara Shinnosuke?!"
Oh no
The teacher was getting angry, as they had expected since he was a salty one anyways. The thing that actually happened was that, like always, Shinnosuke was running very late. And during the roll call session, that was actually a double follow-up after the first one, a name marked absent was a name marked out from the trip. So, the Kasukabe Defense force being really great comrades, simply attended Shinnosuke's roll call for him, while he arrived of course.
Who did it, you may ask? Well, a fun fact to know would be that Nene was a great actor, to say the least. And yes, the teacher wasn't clever enough to notice it. But now that it was almost, absolutely, really the time to hop on the bus for real and Shinnosuke was still not there, the situation was getting a bit problematic.
"Anser me boys!", the teacher raised his voice making the two flinch. They couldn't possibly tell him that they fooled him into marking a present for a very well absent student.
"He is in the washroom, emergency.", Nene entered their conversation very calmly, being the actor she was, "Just a minute Sensei? Please~?"
Her charms normally worked wonders for anyone around her, or as she liked to think. But maybe it wasn't her lucky day.
"Call him here right now! Nothing is of more emergency than this.", he ordered the three students, only to be met with still postures, "Okay, you guys are going to play dumb? Well then, I'll check myself. Where's Nohara Shin-"
"Oh sensei! Good morning!", yet another student emerged, stopping the teacher both in his path and question, "Is something wrong? You don't look too good."
If one isn't able to guess who it is based on the confidence in it's purest form, it is Hikari. And since his face was well known around the school by literally everyone, both for looks and money, it was no surprise that the teacher immediately let go of his anger and smiled so brightly that no one could've guessed the furious persona he wore seconds ago.
