Sharp ringing jerked Kazama out from his bed at 8 in the morning. He started groggily searching for his phone with his eyes puffed up.
No, he hadn't cried. He had no reason to. He just got emotional over the ending of the new Moe-P episode, where she helped Hazuki escape an evil plant villian. However, in attempts to free her dearest friend, Moe-P ended up getting trapped instead, and although she managed to escape and defeat the villian by the end of the episode, there were emotional moments shared by Hazuki and Moe-P in doubts that it was their last conversation. Nothing ended up happening, as it was a kid's show, and it was to be expected that they wouldn't just "kill off" the main magical girl like that. But it hit Kazama right in the feels. Maybe a tear dropped here and there but hey, that doesn't count as crying, right?
When Kazama finally found his phone stuffed below the pillow, he was surprised to see who was calling him.
"Hello? Shinnosuke?", he answered, his voice extremely raspy from just having 'shed a tear or so'.
"Why do sound weird?", Shinnosuke spoke from the other line, "Anyways, never mind. Good mornin' ~!"
"Y-Yeah, morning. What happened?", Kazama said finally getting up, feeling internally tired when he saw that it was 8 in the morning already. Watching Moe-P late at night wasn't a great idea after all.
"What do you mean what happened? Open the door."
Kazama froze.
"What? You're here?!"
A sigh could be heard from the other side, "Seriously, Toru-chan! You are such a forgetful guy. You're hurting my feelings~. Don't you remember what you said to me, that night."
"That night?", Kazama wasn't swayed by the mock-tone that Shinnosuke had as he was quick to notice which so called 'night' the latter was talking about. It was the late evening they both had Ramen to get. He just didn't remember what conversation took place during that time because he couldn't be worried about that right now! He was still in his night attire, that's what he had to be worried about. He hadn't even brushed his teeth yet!
"Give me a minute! I'll be there.", he hurriedly hung up and ran out of his room.
His mom wasn't in sight, since she was at her daily morning Yoga classes. She had recently been juggling that with her Society's Art Club. Well, what could one say, she was a woman who liked to keep herself busy with hobbies.
Kazama wasted no time in rushing to the front door, not to let Shinnosuke in though. He peeked through the security camera that showed Shinnosuke rubbing his nose over it.
"Shinnosuke! Stop that!", Kazama's voice startled Shinnosuke as he immediately stood upright, grinning cheekily at the camera.
"Let me in, Kazama-kun. Are you going to leave me here to freeze? Hm~?", Shinnosuke pouted and looked at the lens with sparkle eyes.
Kazama sighed, "It's the middle of July, you won't freeze."
"I might melt, you know?", the other said in all seriousness.
"Just bear it and wait a bit. M-My house is messy, I'll fix it and call you in.", Kazama made up an excuse, as he, for some reason, didn't want his friend to see him in his disheveled look.
"There's nothing I haven't seen before.", Shinnosuke said as he rubbed his cheek against the lens, "Let me in, please~"
"Wait!", Kazama shouted from afar and though the microphone didn't pick it up, the voice was loud enough to be heard through the door itself. Kazama couldn't be near the house security system as he was already changing into something else, right in his living room. He had brought the clothes before hand like the smart guy he was.
