'Tch.'

The sky was gloomy, covered with dark clouds. It was definitely going to rain. Tsukishima looked at the vast airspace with forlorn eyes. He cursed under his breath for not checking the weather report the same morning. However, he was left with no option but to walk his way back to his flat. He glanced around the school ground, finding it eerily calm as there was no soul in sight. It was just how Tsukishima liked; peaceful.

The blonde teacher stepped out of the school building, keeping his steps fast and steady. Sudden showers were always annoying. He heard the low thunder rumble, slightly lightening the dark sky. There was no way he could escape the rain. He pulled his jacket tightly around his slim figure and grumbled profanities under his breath. His flat was a twenty minutes walk from the high school he worked at and it would be a wonder if he reached his place without getting attacked by the upcoming downpour.

As expected, it did not take long when the man felt the first raindrop fall on his cheek and then another one on his head. Thankfully, he was on the shopping street and he could get inside one of the shops and wait for the rain to subside to light drizzle or even disappear. He used his bag as an umbrella to cover his head and made a run for the nearest shelter.

A bookstore.

"Welcome to The Book Garden!" The peppy bookstore owner grinned at Tsukishima and bowed.

What sort of name is that?

Tsukishima was already regretting his decision. He tried not to grimace and managed to give a small, curt nod to the brown haired man and turned his head away. He was only there for shelter, no point in making small talks. In order to avoid them, he thought of checking some books out.

"What would you like to buy, sir? Is there any specific genre of book you would like to have a look at? We have a—

Tsukishima blocked out his voice and swallowed his series of dismissive comments. He would rather look around than listen to this man's annoying voice. "I'll look for them myself." He muttered in a sharp tone. "Thank you."

He heard the man gasp, not that he cared. People generally found him mean and arrogant. He just loved his personal space. Quickly, he peered out of the glass window that was installed in the front, only to see it was raining cats and dogs.

'What a pain!' He thought and made his way to the non-fiction section; aisle 3. Books were a good pass time. There were several good books that interested the tall man. His eyes zeroed on one particular book. With a small hum, he raised his arm to get the book from the top shelf.

"Hi!"

Another lively being. Great!

The blonde man jerked back, absolutely startled by the new voice. A tad irritated, he turned around to take a look at the source of intrusion. It was some orange haired bloke. Tsukishima noticed he was significantly shorter than him. His curious stare made Tsukishima somewhat uncomfortable.

"Would you, uh, you like me to help you, sir?"

Tsukishima took a good look from his head to toe and scoffed very subtly. "Why, thank you. Please, could you get that book out for me?" He stepped back from the shelf and pointed at the specific book.

The boy visibly brightened up at the request. However, his happiness stayed for a couple of seconds before he glanced at the position of the book. A soft frown painted across his face. "Uh, yeah- yeah, certainly." He mumbled politely.

Tsukishima pursed his lips, frown lines formed on his forehead. He wondered how this short person was going to get the book off the top rack. His question was answered when the tangerine head wandered off somewhere and then came back with a step-ladder.

The employee placed the ladder near the bookshelf and climed two steps and easily reached the desired height. "This one?" He enquired in a soft tone, pointing at the book.

Tsukishima, once again, raised his hand and picked the book off the shelf, right in front of the short employee. "Yeah, this one." He smirked lightly at the boy's stunned look. "Thank you again for nothing."

The shorter one of them blinked repeatedly, absolutely taken aback. He turned his head away from the man in embarrassment, bringing his hands to rub his flaming cheeks.

Tsukishima lightly chuckled, rolling his eyes. He seriously does not like store employees. They always follow people for no reason, just ready to jump at any moment. If he requires help, he'll ask for it. There is no need to follow people and make them uncomfortable.

"Goodbye." He mumbled in a curt manner and turned around on his heels to get to the cashier counter. Thankfully, the rain wasn't as heavy as before, subsided into drizzling. When he reached the front desk, he was again met by the over enthusiastic store owner. However, he didn't smile at Tsukishima like the last time.

My pleasure.

"That would be it?" The brown haired man asked, eyes held a hint of bitterness, as he handed the bag to Tsukishima.

The teacher gave him a little hum of approval and then muttered a thank you before walking out of the bookstore, letting out a breath of relief as he could finally go back to his place.

What a tiring day.
