『 cute 'cause of you 』
"You don't really make good coffee, Shō-chan."
"Then make use of your own hands and prepare an amazing cup of coffee yourself, Oikawa-san."
Hinata rolled his eyes nonchalantly to himself as his back was facing Oikawa, who had just gasped way too dramatically as a response to his previous remark. "This... this very manner of talking back is the result of you hanging around that crude mouthy person!" He scoffed. "He is not exactly a good influence, huh?" The man frowned deeply, crossing his arms in a defensive manner.
"You talk just as crude as him. Also don't bring him up, Oikawa-san." The redhead chuckled wryly as he paced around his room with the intention to pack his luggage. He was to leave for his train to his town the very evening and he was yet to the last of his things. It wasn't much of a surprise when his manager had invited himself as Oikawa very often frequented his place. "Just because you don't like him, you don't have to be mean about him." He looked over his shoulder to shoot the older man a pointed look.
"Who said I don't like him?" Oikawa sounded seemingly defensive.
The question made Hinata genuinely chuckle. "You don't say!" This time turned around completely to give Oikawa a look of disbelief. "Let's not even pretend here. Everyone knows you both don't like each other." His tone was light with a hint of seriousness. "But!" He exclaimed as soon as he saw the man opening his mouth to argue as he looked quite offended. "I'm sorry for being mouthy to you, Oikawa-san. Let's just change the subject, hm?" To show his sincereness, he offered the man a warm smile, hoping for him to accept his apology and actually change the topic.
In all honesty, he was sort of miserable as well as anxious to go to his town. He really wanted to spend Christmas with Tsukishima. He was already missing the man, but he couldn't bail out of the plan as he had promised his family, especially his sister, he would visit and celebrate with them. Since he has no other option to leave, he just wanted to spend a couple of hours before leaving with the blonde and feel somewhat better about the situation.
"Alright."
Thank god. Hinata thought to himself, sighing in relief. He did not want any argument or unpleasant circumstance in his already partially wretched state.
"Coincidentally, I met Yasano-san yesterday."
Perhaps not. The boy had to physically restrain himself from sneering at the man as he pursed his lips and clenched his fists behind his back. After a hot minute, he let out a sharp breath through his nose and unclenched his hands. "Why.. I mean, why would you even bring her up so out of place, Oikawa-san?" He frowned, reflectively.
"You told me to change the subject. I thought she would be a refreshing topic, speaking frankly." The brunette shrugged, he actually looked like he believed what he just spoke.
