『 I want more 』
Hinata:
Genuine question—
are u going to cry when u
see me?"Are you?"
Tsukishima grimaced both at his phone as well as Yamaguchi, who was peeping on his screen. "I am not even bothering myself to answer any one of you." He sneered, repositioning his phone in a manner so that it is off his friend's eyesight.
It has officially been seven days since Tsukishima had seen or met Hinata. His absence genuinely felt odd and empty. The blonde had dearly missed him.
It wasn't a surprise when he would randomly get calls from the boy at any time of the day as he had repeatedly asked for. Truthfully, Tsukishima used to secretly yet eagerly wait for his calls. His phone calls and absurd amounts of text messages with every other life update really helped him spend those long seven days less miserably.
And now he was keenly waiting for his boyfriend's train to arrive.
"Not to pry, but are you really not going to answer him?" Yamaguchi asked him curiously.
Tsukishima was a little (a lot actually) miffed about the fact that his friend had tagged along with him to pick his boyfriend up. "He doesn't care. That won't stop him from binge messaging, believe me." He fought back a fond smile, suddenly realising how much he had actually missed his boy.
"Why are you here, anyway?" He couldn't help but ask.
Yamaguchi shrugged. "You only said you were feeling funny about seeing him after a week. I came for moral support." He added the last bit with a confident smile. "Ah!" He suddenly exclaimed, eyes focused on the train schedule board. "One more minute."
Quickly, Tsukishima took a peek and felt his heart beat pick up with excitement. He really felt like his reactions were particularly odd. He had never behaved like this once in his whole life.
"Tsukki, at least tell me, are you going to cry?"
The blonde frowned at the incredulity. "Have you ever seen me cry over something so stupid?"
"You also had never so openly admitted you liked someone." Yamaguchi muttered, a little miffed. "Hinata-kun may not say but what if he actually waits for your replies. Maybe that's why he binge-texts." He remarked with a reflective look.
Well, he had never actually thought it in this way. Should he text now? Perhaps he should.
Hesitantly, he glanced at his screen to see if Hinata had messaged again. There was no text, much to his dismay. Could his habit of not texting too much be a reason his boyfriend stopped messaging him? But that hasn't happened before this. Still he didn't want to take any chance to upset the redhead.
A little agitated, he unlocked his phone to text the boy back.
"I would have appreciated a couple of tears, Tsukishima-san. Fake ones would've worked too, honestly." — "Hi, Yamaguchi-san!"
