"Thank you for dinner. I'll take a leave now."

Hinata's ears perked upon hearing Yamaguchi's remark. As the man stood up, he followed his actions and then tailed him out of the kitchen like a little puppy, confusing both Yamaguchi and Tsukishima.

"Oi, where are you going?"

Nervously, the redhead pulled onto his cardigan's sleeves and then forced out a hoarse chuckle. His throat was feeling as scratchy as sandpaper. "Home."

"And how do you plan on reaching there?" The teacher asked sternly, crossing his arms to look intimidating. Hinata was still looking very pale and weak to be left alone. Even though he didn't have any particular relationship with Tsukishima, the man still felt a sense of responsibility towards the boy just for the sake of his unwavering affection for Hinata.

The younger lad couldn't form words to give an answer to the man. Honestly, he was highly strung about possibly spending his night at Tsukishima's. The three words that had left the man's lips just a couple of hours ago, have been playing on his mind repeatedly. If he were to stay back and spend a night with the man, that too alone, he would definitely freak out. He wasn't disgusted by the confession, quite the opposite, he was sort of hysterical and frenzied.

"Walking."

"Ah! How savvy!" Tsukishima crisply retorted, a disapproving frown forming on his face. "Do you not remember what happened this very evening? Or do I have to remind you?"

There was no doubt Tsukishima was a teacher. His antics were quite strict and unbending.

"I-uh," He swallowed thickly, which was followed by a horrible cough that hurt his throat. "Yamaguchi-san will take me!" He quickly exclaimed and latched himself to the mentioned man's arm, hoping he would help him out. "Innit?" He even went ahead and gave his best pleading look to the man.

On the flip side, Tsukishima was giving his friend quite dark looks. Neither didn't he want Hinata to stay by himself while he was sick nor did he like how the boy was partially hanging on his best friend.

The cold stare didn't go unnoticed by Yamaguchi. He knew the blonde very well.

"Hinata-kun, you should stay the night here. It is for your best." Yamaguchi spoke softly, carefully getting Hinata's arm off him. "If in case your condition worsens, at least Tsukki will be there to help you out." He noted out and backed away a bit.

That is the sole reason why Hinata wanted to leave. Tsukishima was there. He will have to spend a whole night with the man.

"But- but I don't w-want to intrude or put him through anymore, uh, problems. I'll be fine." His protest sounded pretty weak and unconvincing.

"Don't test my patience." Tsukishima scoffed lightly. Contrary to his tone, he was actually worried about the boy. He did not want Hinata to spend his night alone in his flat, where there will be no one to take his care.
