"Aaannnd approaching the avalanche ridden mountain! Get ready to jump!" Eddy laughs.
"Eddy? What do you mean? I'm not jumping!" I scream.
"Well, I can't land this thing on the mountain!" Eddy says. "Unless you want a certain death by helicopter crash!"
"I'm NOT jumping!"
"You don't actually have to jump. There's a rope ladder you can climb down. I'll get you as close as I can to the bionic brats."
"Okay, thank you Eddy. Thank you for all your help."
"Yeah, whatever."
"No, I'm serious, Eddy. Thanks." The door opens and my stomach churns as I see the ladder. "Keep the 'copter around, so you can rescue us."
"Yes ma'am. Now hurry up!"
I look down again and scream. "Eddy! I think I see one of them!"
"Well, hurry up and climb down!" I do as Eddy asks, as quickly as I can.
I drop down onto the snow and see the tell-tale Davenport Industries logo below me. It looks like a shirt sleeve. I drop to my knees and start digging in the snow. As soon as I grab the arm, it clenches up and grabs me, pushing me up so I'm floating over it. It's Adam.
"Adam!" I yell. "Adam, it's me, Mellie! Put me down so I can help you!"
I'm gently set down, and continue digging until I reach Adam's shoulder. By that time, Adam can get himself out.
"Where are Chase and Bree?" I ask Adam. He's got a helmet on, and presses a button so I can see his face.
"Down there." He points to where he just came from, and I feel like passing out.
"Chase..."
