A GASP ESCAPED KATE'S LIPS AS SHE JOLTED UPWARDS, causing small bits of rubble and debris to go tumbling off of her. Her blue eyes quickly took in her surroundings, and that's when she remembered what happened. Dust filled the air due to the structure's collapse, making it look smoky. Pip was hovering over the guardian, as he'd just healed her from major injuries—specifically a broken neck from landing the wrong way. To have a little ghost heal you of all injuries, and resurrect you if necessary, was a blessing for guardians.
"Welcome back," Pip greeted her, "We fell at least 20 stories down, and I can't reach Cayde or Petra." Kate reached down and grabbed her gun from it's holster for extra precaution before standing up. She gazed around, taking in all of the damage that the explosion caused. Looking up at the gaping hole where she'd just plummeted into, she started to speak through the comms.
"Cayde? Petra? Does anybody copy?" When no one answered, she huffed in frustration, "Shit." She turned to look for a way out, and upon finding a broken door which didn't shut all the way, she started walking towards it. She knew Cayde was all the way down at Deck Zero, so that's where she'd go, too. She squeezed through the half-opened door and began making her way down the dim lit, and quite literally wrecked corridor. "Pip, can you fill me in on more details about this Uldren guy and the Barons?"
