A/N: Yep. Took a longish time to update. Sorry lads.
Final chapter.
Alex stood in front of Jay, anger pulsing through her. After the news story had been released, she had known exactly where she would be able to find Jay.
Turns out, she was right.
It seemed like Deja Vu, standing in the manor he had taken her to after kidnapping her. This time her friends were behind her, just as much determination radiating from them. Jay looked tired as ever, the Hyroa blood had clearly taken a toll on him.
He's weak, Alex's head voice hissed. Just attack.
And so that's what she did. She took the sword in her hand and ran forward, newfound anger and confidence surging through her. He seemed unprepared, as if he hadn't expected her to attack first. He began to try and dodge her anger filled attacks, but Alex managed to nick him a few times, earning a small hiss from him. He grew tired after a while and Alex picked up on it quickly. Seeing his faltering movements she knew it wouldn't be hard to overpower him. She shifted her weight to her left foot, mentally praying that she could pull this off. She knew he noticed the shift in weight, which meant he expected her to attack to his right. She brought the blade up and at the last minute swung to his left, the blade landing in his abdomen.
He screamed, collapsing at her feet.
Alex kneeled down to his level, seeing the suffering and pain in his eyes. "That," she spat, "was for being a jerk."
He gasped and wheezed, pointing his hands at the blade in him, pleading her to help him. But long gone was the soft, sweet Alex who tried to be the good girl. No. She would not be messed with.
"No," she said simply. "You are one ass of a man."
She went to stand up but Jay grabbed onto her forearm. "Please, Alexandra. I'm begging you."
Alex looked at him in disgust, but she couldn't help the punch of guilt she felt. She yanked her arm out of his grip and began to walk away, her friends hesitantly following.
"Fletcher," she called on her way out of the manor. "Just treat him, would you."
She smashed the bubbledoor down and walked through, not once turning back. She walked out the other side into their apartment and went straight to her room, slamming the door.
A tear escaped her eye and she angrily brushed it away. The door squeaked open and looked up to be met with the concerned eyes of all of her friends.
"Alex?" Kaiden softly called.
"Yeah?"
"You're okay," he said, crouching down and hugging her tightly. Her friends began to pile in on the hug, sending her waves of reassurance.
She let out a heavy breath and smiled a little. "We're okay."
