Chapter 14

Julia POV

Marcus was acting weird all day , he just acted different than usual . I went to the room and saw him staring on the wall I thought he was sleeping.

" Hey,"
"Hi"
" Thought you were sleeping,"

" No was just sitting."
He looked okay so I left the room.

" Hey can we speak?"

" Yeah sure" I said looking worried.

"My dad ...." he started weeping.

"What's wrong?" I rubbed his back.

" My dad was taken by Aunt... and she has been sending me messages to turn you in orr else she would take my mom."

" Why didn't you tell me."

" I didn't wanna be a burden , "

" Listen Ok, you're not please don't think like that . You're my closest friend now and I wouldn't feel good seeing you like this, we are gonna find your parents."

I was feeling guilty how good of a friend is he that he puts my needs before his. He stopped weeping, I felt better I still had to think about what I was supposed to do . I was feeling sleepy I don't know this thing that I have sleeping on people's shoulders without noticing. So I slept on Marcus's neck and he didn't really mind so he also slept.We had been sleeping like that till 1 am, and I went back to bed. I couldn't sleep thinking about how Marcus suffered.I was awake for a long time then I went to shower and sat on the bed for three hours until Jack enters the room.

" Hey , why are you up so early?" he asked.

"What about you?"

He didn't answer.

" I thought so. Kidding I just had a bad dream , now I can't sleep," I said.

" Me too , wanna join me in the kitchen I'm drinking milk," he said.

We both walked to the kitchen and he poured in my glass. He actually lightened my mood and made me laugh . He was taking about how he met his first friends in his school and how everyone treated him differently because of his mother's wealth.

Someone clears their throat , " guys could you atleast stop making noise someone is trying to sleep here!!" exclaimed Beth.

I stopped laughing and looked at her , for a while I was surprised to see her fully dressed like she was going somewhere.

" And where are you going?" Jack asked.
" What there's nothing wrong dressing for the occasion."
I left the kitchen to check on Marcus , he was showering and Jasmin was texting as usual , in her pyjamas.

I got back to the kitchen to find the two love birds blushing at each other and Beth rolling a strand of her hair with her fingers , child people only do that in movies.
" Hi , doves."

They stopped what they were doing and pretended to be reading the newspaper on the table. Miss Kate entered and greeted all of us then she switched on the stove I'm guessing its almost time for breakfast.She took out the eggs from the fridge and open the kitchen drawers to take butter. We all got out of the kitchen and went to the living room.

" Morning," said Jasmine and Marcus. I called Marcus to the room so I could speak to him.

" I've been thinking and the only way to solve this is to turn myself in."

" What noo are you okay , you can't then what will happen to all of us if we lose you."

" No , I have an idea."
I explained it to him . In the meanwhile in the living room Jack and Beth decided to go out the balcony.

Beth POV

Jack and I went to the balcony for some privacy, he held my hand .

" So I was thinking you want to go out some time?" Jack asked.
" Yeah , sure but Jack not now I'm really busy at the moment so."
He felt as if I rejected him.

"No I really am I just need some time I promise."
He then turned away in disbelief and I felt really bad .

" Ok , instead of planning a date in the future why don't we do it now."

He smiled and our peaceful romantic moment ended she we were called for breakfast. I sat next to him quickly incase Jasmin sat next to him . As I was eating I held his hand Jasmin looked under the table then I pretended I was looking for something on the floor she looked back up and then Jack and I laughed. Maybe we are meant to be , like Julia and Marcus they look cute together but they don't act like it. The way the look at each other and pretend they don't like each other sometimes I wish I could tell them.

We finished eating breakfasts and continued our date in the balcony .
