Why?

Chapter 23

Julia POV

The sun was setting and we were looking for a place to sleep , we didn't find one so we all slept in the car , cramped , uncomfortable and tossing and turning. My mind was filled with thoughts on whether or not I should run away and save my parents and Mason , I know they're bad people but I care for them . I slept and finally woke up at 3 am  , I just went out for a walk because I couldn't sleep.

" Having some troubles," Andrea said.
" Yeah,"
" Can we both share the troubles?"
"I guess we can,"
" My parents turned out to be helping  Risa but they say they were forced. At a point I did feel as if I got there for no reason ,ever since Mason took the bullet for me and we all ran away. I didn't even get to repay him yet and I  feel as if I should go back and save him with my parents , am I thinking too much?"
" No , you're okay ,"
"I really don't have the solution to your problem but if you want us to go back so save them I really don't mind," I hugged him , I felt like we were closer this time like he was my dad .

" So what's your issue? " I asked him.

" I had a son his name was Jasper , we were really close until one time he wanted to go to an event with Marcus because they were really close but I refused .Things got tense between us and one night when my wife and I came back from work he was not there, we looked around the whole town but he wasn't there . When I met you guys that's when I found out through investigation that he was dead.The police force and I found hid body in the nearby landfill site . I told them not to tell anyone and that I would inform them myself, but I'm scared to tell my wife and Marcus because you know. She's been texting me and asking where I am I haven't been replying,"

" I think you should answer don't you think she's feeling bad now with her son and now you,"

After long ours of I think therapy I feel better now knowing I talked to someone.

Mason POV

Still driving we stopped at a guest house for the night. It wasn't five star but at least it could keep us for the night. We were given one bedroom with a toilet and a bathroom, we ordered pizza then ate and slept.My dad kept on snoring like why he was drooling over the pillow with his mouth open , a fly could enter his mouth .Anyways I slept on the sofa because of my dad .

I'm woken  up by the sound of the alarm on my phone , I quickly go to take a shower and wait for my dad to finish showering.On our way out I took some donuts I found in the reception later to find out it was put for display. I kept it so that I could prank people .I opened the car door switched on my phone and saw that Risa was in a nearby flea market .So my dad drove there.

Julia POV

Andrea wanted some new clothes so he drove us to the flea market I was desperate too, so anything I would buy as long as it's not revealing . We got there and I had a weird feeling like my gut was telling me to go back to the car or something bad was going to happen .I stayed in the car but everyone decided to pull me out .I had no choice anyways.Andrea was acting likey mom when we're in the mall asking me if I wanted a dress.

" Oh , Julia this would look great on you try it , it's cheap," he wanted me to try it because it was the only one he could afford.Since I wore the dress because I didn't want to seem ungrateful.The dress was long and had animal prints I looked like I missed my toddler days , they laughed at me . Andrea didn't buy the dress , he was just pranking me , he only came to the flea market for shoes , his shoes where messed up and he was getting splinters everytime he walked. There was a small amount of money left we were about to be food less.With that amount he bought more lunch bars because the others would rot quickly.
