Chapter 18

Julia POV

Half an hour gone , and I slept in the now cold and dark room , feeling uncomfortable with no blanket I wonder where my friends are. My back on the ground felt like I was sleeping on top of the ground the lights were still on and I had a feeling they were watching me so I was not really in deep sleep.I looked over to see my parents leaning on the wall.

The sun rose and I was taken out of the room and put in the kitchen . Before me was delicious breakfast I didn't trust it but I was tempted to eat . I was hungry though but I didn't want to die.By my side my parents and Mason were gobbling the food finishing any plate they found . I just drank water .

At 12 pm we were taken out and aunt Risa and Norman were playing football.There was no escape as the guards were surrounding us.

" Good day , family how are you ?" she said.

" Is this your way of thanking us or playing family family," I replied.

" Oh, no I just want to be with my family is there something wrong with that?"she asked.

" Hmm , I just don't really trust you,"

" She's really becoming too big for her shoes,"Norman chuckled softly.

They looked at each other and started laughing.

" Come and play,"
" No , I'm fine"
" Why?"
" I don't feel like it,"
My dad came towards me and whispered, " honey just do what they say you don't want to make them angry , please."
I went towards the field and played , after a while I got very tired and sat on the bench my feet were swollen .

Marcus POV

It was still early in the morning everyone woke up and found me awake . We continued walking around the forest , we didn't even know where we where heading to . My breath smelling so bad , luckily Andrea gave me a breathe mint and I was better.

" Guys , I'm really miss Julia let's hope we find her,"Beth said.

" Me too she was really kind,"Jasmin said.

" Yeah , I know I didn't know her much but she was a good person I don't think she needed to suffer like that," Jack said.

" Jack how did you find out about Julia?" I asked , they say curiosity killed the cat but this curiosity is important.

" I was told ," he replied.

" By?"

" Umm  Jasmin she was telling my mom so I listened to their conversation,"

" Jasmin," I grunted.

" What I had to say it she wouldn't allow a stranger in her house , would you?"

" Ok ,it's fine"

Julia looked at Jack and gave him a look. It felt like she wanted to punch him and teach him a lesson for snitching. He gave her back a look that said he was going to find out any ways. We continued walking and at the same time we were eating energy bars , they're really not bad but I advise you not to eat them for the whole day, we stopped for a minute it wasn't a break it was release time if you know what that means.

In the forest we heard a sound and continued walking towards the sound of that makes sense to you guys.

Julia POV

Sitting on the bench I was taken to the outer parts of the forest with my parents, they made us kneel down.

" Sing to your last days , you gonna be laying on the floor . Sleeping for a long time , now you're kneeling you should be begging for your lives . Now I'm free I feel good , show me your smiles show me your teeth cause this will be your last one,"
aunt Risa sang .

She was carrying a gun , it was facing me.

" No please we're begging you ," my parents said.
" It's too late to apologize , it's too late," she sang.

" Ugh , save it"
I'm really scared but I'm trying not to act scared.

Marcus POV

As we reached the sound , I spotted aunt Risa she was playing soccer , really with her husband anyways she was in a field and she was next to a house .

" Guys they're here let's go," Jasmin suggested.

" No , not now we need to have a plan before we go," I replied and she gave me a look of disgust.

" What do you think we should do? " Jack asked.

" Let's think," Andrea said. The thinking process was long we took minutes and minutes until finally we came with an idea.In the meantime we were resting because of our long walk and wanted some energy.
" Hey," a strange voice .We turned to look back and it was Mason , we stood up and were holding our fists.

" No, I come in peace," he said.

" Why do you think we should believe you?," I asked.

" I know you think I'm a bad person , but I'm not,"
" Excuse me the last time I checked your mom wants to kill Julia right?"Beth said.
I pushed Beth to stop her.

" Well , she's not my mom"he said.

" What do you mean?" I asked.

" She killed my mom,"

We all looked in shock, but I don't know if we can trust him.

" She didn't tell you the other side of the story, so as she told you about herself.Both of them were best friends they always worked together , she was jealous of my mother because she was the leader of the group and that she was dating Norman .Norman is my real father, so she killed my mother because she wanted to be with Norman and was jealous of my mother's success.Norman still doesn't know that his girlfriend died because of his wife," he said sobbing.

" When did you find out?" Andrea asked.

" I found out from Julia's parents,"

" How do we know this is true?" I asked.

" Okay , I'm putting all my weapons down," he put all his weapons on the floor and we took them of course I still don't trust him.
