After accepting the job from Cid, the Bad Batch make their way to the unknown planet in the fringes of Wild Space. As the Havoc Marauder jumps out of Hyperspace, the Bad Batch could see the planet that contained the artifact. It was a planet that looked similar to Naboo.

Tech: This appears to be the planet.

Hunter: Take us in, Tech. Activate the Marauder's cloaking device.

Tech activated the Havoc Marauder's cloaking device as he takes the Havoc Marauder into the planet. When the Havoc Marauder enters the planet's atmosphere, Tech runs some scans.

Tech: I'm detecting a large presence of life forms.

Hunter: Have they spotted us?

Tech: No. The Marauder's cloaking device is fully operational.

Hunter: Good. Land us somewhere isolated.

With that, Tech landed the Havoc Marauder in a secluded location which was a small island in the middle of the night. When the Bad Batch and Omega exited the Havoc Marauder, they were greeted by a large green copper statue of a woman wearing a cloak and a crown with seven spikes. She holds a torch in her raised right hand and clutches a tablet in her left. Omega was in awe of the statue.

Omega: I've never seen anything like it!

Tech: Impressive architecture to be sure.

Echo: I wonder who it is.

Tech: If I had to guess, the statue is either a local goddess or even a ruler.

Wrecker: Do we get to blow it up?!

Hunter: No, Wrecker. The last thing we need is to draw unwanted attention to ourselves.

As the Bad Batch began to formulate their plan to find the artifact, Omega explored the island. As she explored the island, she looked at the distance and could see a city in the distance. It was a city of shining lights. Omega was in awe at this sight for she had never seen anything like this. She was used to the constant rain of Kamino. As Omega looked on in awe, she could several winged figures gliding in the sky.

Omega: Hunter! I see something!

Hunter: What is it, Omega?

Omega: Over there! In the sky! I saw several winged creatures flying!

As Omega pointed at the city, Hunter glances to Tech and nods at him. Tech then uses his visors to scan the area. After a moment, Tech gave out his readings.

Tech: I'm not seeing any.....winged creatures. Though that doesn't mean that there aren't any.

Hunter: Then we need to be careful. Here's the plan. Omega and I will go into the city and see what we're dealing with. Tech, you're coming with us.

Wrecker: Well what about us?!

Hunter: I need someone to stay at the Marauder in case something goes wrong.

Echo: Understood.

Wrecker: Aww! You always get to have all the fun!

With that, Hunter along with Omega and Tech got ready to go into the city while Echo and Wrecker stayed behind at the Havoc Marauder. To avoid attracting attention to themselves, Hunter and Tech changed out of their armor and into more casual wear. Once that was done, Hunter along with Omega and Tech As they reached the shore of the city, Tech used his visors to scout the city. He could see dozens of people going about their daily life.

Tech: The area is clear.

Hunter: All right, Omega. I want you to act naturally. Stay to close to us.

Omega: You can count on me, Hunter! I won't let you down!

With that, Hunter along with Omega and Tech entered the city. As they walked the streets of the city, Omega looked upon the lights and skyscrapers with wonder in her eyes. While the two Clone Commandos got some stares from a couple of people, they didn't really pay no mind.

Hunter: So far so good. Tech, found anything we can use?

Tech: As a matter of fact, I did. From what I've been able to dig up, we are currently in Manhattan, New York City located in a country called the United States of America.

Hunter: And the artifact?

Tech: There's a museum not too far from here called the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It appears they are holding a special viewing of an artifact called the Sword Of Beowulf.

Hunter: Sounds like a good place to start.

With a place to start, Hunter along with Omega and Tech made their way to the Metropolitan Museum of Art only o find it closed.

Omega: What are we going to do now?

As Omega says this, Tech immediately scans the building for an opening they could use. It didn't take long for Tech to find one. He then leads them to the back of the building. Tech then points out the window near the back door. Hunter then quickly opens the window and the three get inside. As they searched the building, they could see the display containing the Sword of Beowulf. The appearance of the artifact was exactly the same as the artifact they were sent to find.

Omega: There's the artifact!

Hunter: Good. Let's grab it and get out of here.

Suddenly, an explosion rips the entrance to the museum and reduces it to rubble. The alarm is triggered as Hunter and Tech grabbed Omega and took cover. When the smoke cleared, two strange looking people entered the building.

???: That was too easy, wouldn't you say, Hyena?

Hyena: Let's just grab this sword and get the hell out of here, Jackal! I never like museums.

In that moment, the Bad Batch's mission to retrieve the artifact were interrupted by the arrival of Jackal and Hyena. What none of them didn't know was that they would soon encounter this city's defenders of the night.
