The Bad Batch: Gargoyles

Chapter Six - Jackal & Hyena

As the Bad Batch allied themselves with the Manhattan Clan, the Bad Batch began the process of attempting to track down Jackal and Hyena. On the Havoc Marauder, Tech was working on one of the computers.

Omega: Should we wait for Goliath and the others? They could be a big help!

Tech: That won't be necessary. Before the Gargoyles arrived, I managed to plant a tracker on one of the criminals. It should be activating right about....

As Tech says this, beeping is heard from the computer. Immediately, Tech pulls up a holomap of the city. 

Echo: You mapped this city? We haven't even been here for a day.

Tech: I always map out areas that we travel to. And as you can see, this worked to our benefit. 

Wrecker: Well what are we waiting for?! Let's go get these scumbags! I'm itching for some action!

Hunter: Everyone gear up. Omega, you stay behind. 

Omega: But Hunter, I....

Hunter: This is not up for debate, Omega. These people are dangerous. I don't want you to get caught up in this. Tech, I want you to stay with Omega. If anything happens....

Tech: I'll guide you to the tracker from the Marauder. If anything happens, I'll take the Marauder and move it to a secure location.

Hunter could see that Omega was disheartened. He knew of how much Omega wanted to help. But in this situation, Hunter felt that taking Omega along to hunt Jackal and Hyena. 

Hunter: I'm sorry, Omega, but this is for your safety. We'll be back soon. Stay put. 

With that, Hunter along with Echo and Wrecker got their weapons and armor ready and set out on following the tracker Tech planted on Jackal and Hyena. Meanwhile at Pack Media Studios, Jackal and Hyena wait in a secluded location. 

Hyena: It's been too long. Whoever hired us must've bailed!

Jackal: Patience, sister. We've arrived exactly as instructed. We have a bit of time until the Sun sets. 

Hyena: And what if the Gargoyles arrive? Or those rent a cops? 

Jackal: We're quite safe here. No one but out client knows we're here. As long as we don't draw attention to ourselves, we'll be fine. 

Jackal and Hyena waited for their client to arrive. As the Sun begins to set, the Bad Batch eventually followed the tracker to Pack Media Studios. 

Hunter: This has to be where the tracker is. 

Echo: But I'm not seeing those two criminals. 

Wrecker: Then how about we ring the bell?!

Hunter: Easy there, Wrecker. We can't afford to make too much noise. That could scare them away. Our priority is the sword. Form up and follow my lead.

With that, Wrecker and Echo formed up behind Hunter as the three Clone Commandos continued to follow the tracker. Eventually, they were able find Jackal and Hyena. Hunter gestured Wrecker and Echo to flank around them. As Wrecker and Echo took their positions, Hunter readied his DC-17 Blaster Pistol and confronted Jackal and Hyena.

Hunter: Stop right where you are!

Hyena: Looks like you were wrong about those rent a cops not finding us. 

Jackal: Now this is unexpected. How did you find us?

Hunter: Does it really matter?

Jackal: I suppose not. 

Hunter: I'm giving you two one chance to back away. Drop the sword and I won't blast you.

Hyena: Where's that little bitch that shot me? I've been dying to make her bleed for that!

Hunter became enraged at how Hyena threatened Omega so openly. Despite this, Hunter maintained his composure. 

Hunter: If it were me, I would've gone for the head. 

Hyena: Touched a nerve, did I?

Hunter: Last chance. Drop the sword and walk away. 

Jackal: Clearly you're not too bright. In case you didn't realize, we've got you outnumbered two to one. 

Hunter looked glanced up to see Wrecker and Echo in position. 

Hunter: That's what you think. 

Hunter then makes a gesture with his hand. signaling Wrecker and Echo to attack. As Hunter gives the signal, Wrecker drops down and slams his fists to the ground, knocking Jackal and Hyena back several feet. 

Wrecker: TIME TO RELEASE THE WRECKING BALL!

Wrecker then charges at Hyena and tackles her. Hyena attempts to break free by attacking Wrecker with her claws, but Wrecker's armor was able to protect him from the attacks.

Hyena: When I get out of here, I'm gonna rip your fucking head off!

Wrecker laughs as he applies a powerful bear hug on Hyena. The immense pressure Wrecker applied was enough to knock her out. Meanwhile, Hunter and Echo cornered Jackal. 

Jackal: Not bad for a bunch of rent a cops!

Jackal readied the Sword of Beowulf and charged at them. Echo fires a shot which knocks the sword out of his hands. Hunter follows through by performing a swift takedown on Jackal. With that, Jackal and Hyena had been taken down. Meanwhile on the Havoc Marauder, Tech was watching over Omega when a noise was heard outside. Suddenly, the loading door to the Havoc Marauder was pulled down as Demona enters the Havoc Marauder. 

Demona: Now this is interesting....

Without hesitation, Tech pulls out his twin blaster pistols and begins firing on Demona, but Demona dodges the blaster fire and rushes at Tech and grabs him by the throat. 

Demona: You're not of this world. 

As Demona begins to strangle Tech, Omega attacks Demona with her Energy Bow. However, Demona throws Tech against a wall and knocks him out. 

Demona: You might be more useful to me, girl. 

Demona then overpowers Omega and kidnaps her. In that moment, Demona had made her move.
