Chapter Seven - Ultimatum

After claiming the Sword Of Beowulf from Jackal and Hyena, Hunter along with Wrecker and Echo made their
way back to the Havoc Marauder. But as they reached their ship, Hunter noticed that something was wrong. He saw evidence of a scuffle outside the Marauder. Immediately fearing for Omega's safety, Hunter rushed inside the Havoc Marauder with Wrecker and Echo following him. Hunter rushed through the corridors of the Havoc Marauder, finding evidence of a break in.

Hunter: Omega?! Tech?!

As Hunter, Wrecker and Echo moved through the corridors of the Havoc Marauder, they found an unconscious Tech at the end of the corridor.

Hunter: Tech? Tech!

As Hunter calls out his name, Tech slowly regains consciousness.

Hunter: Are you alright?

Tech: I'll live.

Echo: What happened?

Tech: I was running some diagnostics on the Marauder when...a Gargoyle attacked.

Upon hearing this, Hunter and the other renegade Clone Commandos immediately thought of Goliath and the Manhattan Clan. Hunter looked around for Omega.

Hunter: Tech....where's Omega?

Tech: She....she attacked that Gargoyle. I blacked out after that. Maybe...maybe the security footage can help up.

With that, Tech accesses the Havoc Marauder's security footage through his data pad. Hunter and the others watch the security footage of Demona overpowering Tech and kidnapping Omega. Upon seeing the footage, Hunter clenched his fists in anger. Feelings of guilt fell over Hunter as Omega was kidnapped.

Hunter: We're heading out. We're going to have long talk with Goliath.

With that, the Bad Batch gathered their equipment and made their way to the Clock Tower on the 23rd Precinct where the Manhattan Clan had just come back from patrol. The air of the room became tense as the Bad Batch confronted the Gargoyles.

Hunter: Where is she?!

Goliath: Where is who?

Hunter: Omega! She was kidnapped by a Gargoyle!

Tech then shows the Gargoyles the security footage of Demona kidnapping Omega. Goliath and the rest of the Manhattan Clan immediately recognized her.

Goliath: Demona.

Echo: You know her?

Hudson: Aye. She used to be one of us until her heart turned dark. Where we seek to protect Humanity, Demona seeks to destroy it.

Goliath: She is our greatest enemy.

Hunter: Why did she kidnap Omega?

Goliath: Perhaps it has something to do with the Sword Of Beowulf.

As Goliath says this, the Gargoyles quickly notice that the Bad Batch were now in possession of the sword. Suddenly, Elisa enters the Clock Tower.

Elisa: Goliath, you might want to check this out.

Elisa then hands Goliath a DVD. Without warning, Tech scans the DVD with his datapad. After doing come configuration, he manages to play the footage of the DVD much to the surprise of the Gargoyles.

Lexington: Whoa....

As Tech plays the footage, the face of Demona is seen.

Demona(Footage): You keep interesting company these days, Goliath. Your friends from beyond the stars have been giving me grief.

The footage then shows Omega tied up against a wall. Seeing Omega in this state angered Hunter.

Demona(Footage): You have something I want. You may think you have some idea of what you are in possession of, but you do not. In a few moments, it will be mine. It means more to me than you will ever know. I don't know what brings you to this world and I frankly don't care. All I want is the Sword Of Beowulf. You have something I want. I have something you want. Give me the sword or I'll wring this one's little neck. 

As Demona threatened Omega's life, Hunter was seething in anger. Even though Hunter was wearing his helmet, Goliath could tell that Hunter was enraged. 

Omega(Footage): Hunter! Don't listen to her! It's a trap! Don't....

Demona then proceeds to smack Omega in the face. Had Hunter been in that room, he would've lashed out at Demona and attacked her. 

Demona(Footage): Silence, child! Now then....Hunter. You will bring me the Sword or I will send you the girl back piece by bloody piece. You will deliver the Sword to be at Black Rock Point alone. Do not test me. 

As the footage ended, Hunter finally lets his anger out as he flips a table over. 

Hunter: I'm going after Omega!

Goliath: Demona is luring you into a trap. I know her games.

Hunter: Demona made a mistake. By hurting Omega, she declared war. If she wants a war, then she has it. 

Goliath: You will need help, Hunter. My clan and I know Demona and her games. She will not honor her word. 

Hunter: If you want to tag along, fine. But I got a plan to take her down. 

In that moment, the Bad Batch and the Manhattan Clan joined forces in their mission to defeat Demona and rescue Omega. Meanwhile in Black Rock Point, Omega found herself as a prisoner of Demona. 

Omega: You'll be sorry when my friends come for me!

Demona: Pathetic Human. Your kind are nothing more than ants. So arrogant. You think the world is yours. Your kind can't even share their homes without fighting. Your kind hold each other's lives completely without worth. 

Omega: You're wrong!

Demona: Foolish child. You clearly don't know the depths to which Humanity can sink. But I do. Over the centuries, I've seen horrors that would blast your soul! But I have no time to lecture a foolish child of Humanity's sins. If your friend gets here fast enough, perhaps I'll make your death quick and painless. 

With that, Demona left Omega locked up in the room. In that moment, Omega was trapped as Demona sets a trap for Hunter. But Omega wasn't about go quietly as she was already preparing an escape plan of her own.
