"Ready to go?" Mikey called, throwing on a leather jacket over a yellow zebra print shirt that Gerard had practically begged him not to wear. Told him it looked stupid. Yeah right. Mikey could never look stupid.

"Yes." Gerard hissed as he stepped out of the bathroom. He had put on a pair of tight black jeans and a black t shirt. He threw on a red Jacket that matched the colour of his hair nicely. He felt really confident in this attire. Totally opposite to how he usually felt.

"C'mon then." Mikey said. He opened the door, stepped out and waited for Gerard to follow.

Gerard took a deep breath. This was happening. And followed Mikey out to the car.

They got to the bar and waited in line to get in. Nobody tried to talk to them as they waited. Gerard was thankful for that. He was trying to psych himself up. He was actually terrified. He wasn't used to being around big crowds of people. He and Frank usually stayed in together, and when they did go out, it was generally just a small group of people.

Gerard had no idea what was in store for him as he walked inside. Instantly the smell of sweat infiltrated his nostrils and he made a disgusted face.

"So this is a gay bar." Mikey stated, looking around.

Gerard nodded and finally took in the place. There were flashing lights near the dance floor, which was full. There were tables all around the room and a pool table near the back by the washrooms. All along one wall there were booths. But most importantly, there were guys everywhere.

Guys dancing, guys talking, guys making out. It was overwhelming.

"I don't think I can do this." Gerard whispered to Mikey.

"I'll be with you Gerard. It's okay." Mikey looked around. "Do you want a drink?"

Gerard nodded and followed Mikey to the bar. They waited in line patiently, and Gerard was surprised when no one came up to them.

"You look terrified." Mikey noted, ordering some drink for the two of them. Gerard shrugged and looked around briefly.

"Thanks." Gerard took the drink Mikey was handing to him and took a sip. "What the hell is this? Oh my god it's strong!"

Mikey shrugged.

"I have no idea. I just asked for the most popular drink." He took a sip and scrunched up his face. "That is really strong!" He said laughing and took another sip anyways.

"Let's go sit down." Gerard suggested and Mikey nodded. Gerard eyed an empty booth along the wall and headed towards it.

The boys sat down on opposite sides of the table and surveyed the room.

"There's a lot of hot guys here tonight." It was Mikey who spoke first, earning a surprised look from Gerard. "Hey!" He said defensively "Just because I'm not buying, doesn't mean I can't appreciate the product."

"Okay Mikey. You keep telling yourself that." Gerard shook his head and ignored the annoyed look Mikey gave him.

"Even If I did like guys, I have a girlfriend." Mikey said, like that made a difference.

"No need to get defensive." Gerard replied raising his hands like he was surrendering, a hint of amusement in his voice. He really enjoyed pissing off his brother.

Mikey grumbled something unrecognizable and Gerard smirked at him across the table. The Way brothers sipped at their drinks in silence for a few minutes.

"Hey there!" A voice came from beside their booth and both boys turned to see who was talking. It was a guy, pretty short. He had dyed blond hair and was wearing all black everything. Overall Gerard thought he was pretty cute. Not his type though. "My friend and I," he gestured behind him to the pool table where a few guys were fooling around. "We kind of bet money on something." Gerard raised his eyebrows at the guy. "Are you guys like, together?"

Mikey choked on his drink and began to cough violently, earning a questioning look from the blond guy.

"No." Gerard said, he was quite disgusted with the thought. "We're brothers."

"Ha. See that's what I thought. But Patrick over there," He gestured behind him again "Said you guys were together. You look too much alike to not be related. So is this your first time here? Because you guys look a little lost. Not that I've been watching you or anything." He took a breath and looked at Mikey, "I like your shirt."

Mikey raised his eyebrows at Gerard in an I-told-you-so type of way and then looked at the guy.

"Thanks. What did you say your name was?"

The guy grinned.

"It's Pete."

"I'm Mikey."

The two stared at each other for a moment before Gerard cleared his throat awkwardly. Mikey blinked rapidly.

"Right so why don't you go ask your friend, Patrick you said? Right. Patrick. If he wants to come sit with us?" Mikey asked. Gerard smirked knowingly.

"Sure!" Pete beamed and ran off to go get Patrick.

"He's cute hey?" Gerard smiled and Mikey shrugged.

"He's a'ight. I have a girlfriend anyways. And I'm totally not gay."

"Never said you were." Gerard leaned back into the booth. Satisfied with making Mikey uncomfortable. Mikey frowned and both the boys moved over to make room for Pete and Patrick who were approaching.

"Hey so everyone, this is Patrick." Pete said, sliding into the seat beside Mikey. "Patrick, this is Mikey," Pete gestured to Mikey and Patrick nodded. "And, sorry. I didn't catch your name?"

"Gerard." Gerard gave a friendly smile as Patrick sat down beside him.

"How long have you two been together?" Mikey asked. Gerard thought he almost sounded jealous and smirked.

"Oh haha we are definitely not together." Pete said quickly, and smiled flirtatiously. Gerard watched closely but it seemed like Mikey didn't notice.

Gerard sighed in annoyance. Mikey looked at him and frowned.

Gerard quickly chugged the rest of his disgusting drink when no one was looking.

"Oh look at that! My drink is empty! Patrick! Would you care to venture with me to get a new one?" Gerard really wanted Mikey and Pete to have some time alone. It seemed that Patrick caught on, because he nodded and stood up quickly.

On the way to the bar, Patrick spoke for the first time that night.

"They're really hitting it off." He observed.

"Oh I know." Gerard glanced over his shoulder at the boys who seemed to have gotten closer together since Patrick and Gerard left. Gerard laughed and Patrick looked at him questioningly. "Mikey says he's straight." Patrick laughed at this as well. The boys reached the bar and Gerard ordered the drinks.

"Why is he at a gay bar if he's straight?" Patrick questioned. Gerard shrugged.

"For me I guess." The bartender placed their drinks down on the counter and Gerard grabbed them and handed one to Patrick. Gerard watched as Patrick took a sip of his drink "Another really funny thing is that he has a girlfriend."

Patrick almost spat out his drink.

"What the fuck?" Patrick looked angry.

Gerard knew he shouldn't have told Patrick. Now Patrick would tell Pete and ruin everything.

"It's not too serious though." Gerard lied. Mikey's relationship was actually very serious. The two spent almost all of their free time in each other's company and Mikey was contemplating whether to move in with her. If it weren't for Gerard being a whiny baby over Frank, Mikey probably would have moved in months ago.

"He better not hurt Pete." Patrick said protectively as him and Gerard idled near the bar.

"He won't." But even Gerard was doubtful.
