23: Alienated Worlds
Sitting up in the bed I rubbed my face I turned to see a bare Majesty sleeping soundly, slipping out of bed quietly I reached into a drawer and pulled out a pair of boxers. Putting them on I kissed her on the head before leaving the bedroom, cracking my neck I descended the stairs and walked into the kitchen.
Turning on the TV I saw that it was turned to the ESPN channel, not bothering in changing it I walked to refrigerator, I had planned on making Majesty breakfast. Over the past three days I guess you could say we had been living in our own world ever since we left American soil, and I wanted to keep it like that for the next two days.
A feeling couldn't be explained to see her at my home and calling it our home, seeing my community accept her with open arms. If yesterday didn't prove that I wanted to marry this girl than I don't know what will.
My thoughts were disturbed when I heard Majesty's name being mentioned, "What do you have to say about Bala Fernando being in Colombia with Majesty Jewels, his alleged girlfriend I'm sure you know the situation." The white man asked Oscar De La Hoya who was doing the interview via video chat.
I met him after my first pro fight and he came in the ring to say that I was going to be the face of Latino boxers... we weren't on a friends type of level, "Listen, the fight is six months away and, in my opinion, if he keeps focusing on the fight than he's going to lose all of the anger that he is going to need."
Sitting the arepas on the grill I tuned out the interview, hearing steps come from down the stairs I knew that it was her walking into the kitchen her hair was pulled on top of her head and she was in my tank top.
Taking the arepas off the grill she wrapped her hands around my waist, "What are you cooking?"
"Arepas de queso." I said grabbing some queso and placing it on the arepa. Picking up the breakfast, I turned around and held up the dish, "It's not as heavy on the stomach."
Taking a bite from it her eyes rolled close and I wiped the crumb that was at the corner of her mouth, moaning she opened her eyes again, "I like it," Letting her take another bite of the food before I sat the plate down I picked her up and sat her on the counter and placed my arms on either side of her, biting on her bottom lip she mumbled, "A lot."
"I knew you would." I muttered before grazing my lips with her.
Picking up the arepas de queso she placed it to my lips looking at her I took a bite of it, taking the last bite she sat the plate down and wrapped her arms around my neck, "How did you learn how to cook?"
"My mother and father taught me how to cook and whenever I would go hang out with friends their family used to let me help out in the kitchen." I admitted placing both hands on her hips.
Her mouth turned upwards into a smile and I could see her eyes light up, "Did they also teach you how to dance?"
Grinning I kissed her collar bone, "Yeah I guess so."
"Who would've thought that La Bala knows how to do the cha-cha." She giggled before pecking my lips.
Moving a strand of curl that escaped from her bun to her ear I said, "Well I'm a Latino man first mi amor."
"It's later." She said moving her hands to my chest.
Raising an eyebrow I brought her closer, "What do you mean princess?"
"When I was wrapping your hands the other day you said something to me in Spanish and you said you would tell me later, it's later." She coaxed lightly.
