Time seemed to drag on and pass all too quickly at once while I sat and folded the papers and stuffed the envelopes. My fingers started to ache with the repetitive motion and was very grateful to see the pile was dwindled down to less than five.

"Why don't you finish those up and we can get lunch?" Casey glances at my work.

"Yes, Sir." I seal the one I was working on and quickly get to work on the next one. Fold, stuff, peal and seal. Three more and I was finished.

I set down the last one with a happy sigh, looking up at Casey. He finishes typing and presses a button on the computer. "Alright, what do we want for lunch?"

"I don't know, Sir. What do you like to eat?"

"Well, there's this pretty good Thai place a block up. How's that?"

"I've never had Thai, but I'd love to try." I smile awkwardly.

He nods and stands up, putting his jacket on. I copy him and wait at the door, opening it as he approaches.

"You haven't had a lot of stuff, have you?"

"Not really, Sir. Madam made sure we had what we needed."

Casey nods and pressed the button for the elevator. My stomach felt jumpy as we stepped in so I grab the railing on the wall. He looks at me but doesn't comment.

I fall in step behind him as we exit, sighing in relief as I follow silently. Casey steps to the side in a silent invitation to walk beside him but I pretend I don't see it and stubbornly stay just behind his back. Yes it was defying my Dom, but he made no verbal order to actually listen to him.

We approach a colorfully decorated window and I stare at the designs on it. Casey clears his throat and I look over to see him holding the door open for me.

"Thank you, Sir." I mumble, feeling my face heat up.

I look around and there's fake leaves hanging on the wall and plenty of pictures and paintings hung up all around. A small, strict-looking woman approaches us quickly as she notices us standing in the doorway.

"No subs allowed, says on the door." She scolds angrily, shooing me out.

I look at Casey anxiously, waiting for him to tell me to wait outside. But his eyebrows scrunch together in anger and he steps between me and the lady.

"Come on River, we'll find a better place for lunch." He takes my hand and pulls me out of the restaurant. He keeps ahold of my hand when we're standing on the sidewalk again, looking around at all the buildings. He seems to nod to himself as he drags me along down the street.

I stay silent while we walk, scared he might be upset at me for having to find a new place to eat. We stop in front of another restaurant and he once again opens the door for me.

"Hopefully this place is a little more welcoming," he smiles. "There weren't any signs this time."

"Thank you, Sir." I gratefully squeeze his hand and he gives it a light squeeze back. A young girl gestures for us to follow and leads us to a booth next to a window. The view wasn't great but I could see a small park that seemed to have some ducks waddling around a small pond. Casey notices my staring and smiles.

    "Do you like parks, River?"

"Yes, Sir!" I smile, they were great places to pass time. "I used to go to a park near the House on my duty free days. There was a small community garden started by some of the subs that lived in the area. One way for us all to socialize." I cut off my rambling when I notice he's staring at me.
