The following day the painting was delivered to the mansion of the leader himself.

He liked to keep his art private. Therefore his art was kept very well appart from the rest of his house. An underground gallery of all his art collections. Even his own work and a studio.

Each purchase was kept there. Seperate and away from all the other parts of Santino that were not so... graceful. Not a part of his unpure side to be specific.

It was his quiet place, his thinking place, his world away from the world. His world away from the mafia. He would come in and sit for as long as he could, in complete silence.

Sometimes thinking, sometimes not and sometimes even to brainstorm his next move in the mafia. There's no better place to plan vicious things than a quiet room.

Works like a charm, as you need only to be calm.

So he heads there immediately. After he was informed of the arrival of his most recent painting he just had to head down and stare at it for a while. I mean, it is in his gallery after all. It was seriously about to become his favorite.

Ok, maybe the painting already was his favorite.

He was accompanied by his right hand man, Mateo. He took many turns in many different hallways of his, quite big mansion. Up until he reached a wall after turing around one of the many corridors. It looked like a dead end to anyone who didn't know. That obviously being the whole point.

He went ahead and pulled one of the many books on the shelf to his right-hand side and just like that the wall opened.

Behind the wall was a gold elevator, it led to the underground gallery of his. There are actually many levels underground, each for specific reasons. Yet the elevator only had two buttons, one going up and one going down.

There was a separate, less private one which lead to all the other floors. Like the torture room for example.

Which he got in and pressed the button going down, Mateo standing right outside knowing the boss will be just fine on his own.

Santino walked in suddenly feeling a heavy weight on his shoulders drifting away. Replaced by a sudden peace of the view in front of him: a white room, with trims of gray on the edges of each wall, many ceiling lights and thick white beams to support the whole structure. It was a modern hall with touches of classical here and there.

He walked around the room slowly, observing each of his paintings as though it was the first time he ever saw them. As he was walking he came across it. His most recent, it was as if everything was suddenly in slow motion yet quick at the same time. He was staring at it as if he were seeing the heavens before him.

'Heavens of the melanin'
-By Angelo

That is the name of the painting. It is of a girl, a slim yet curvy girl with long dark curly hair. Dark skin, plump lips and.... and the eyes, one a shiny brown and one a grayish blue.

It's rather obsurd how this painting always seems to intrigue him. Just fascinating.
