"Leave me alone," I whisper, taking a step back.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done it, please forgive me?" Marcus pleads, going to his knees.
"No, go away!" I say, shocked.
"Please Avery!" Marcus says loudly, and people start to stare.
"No! You don't deserve anything! I hate you, Lane, I will never get close to even liking you again!" I whisper, before turning around. He grabs my hand and pulls me into his chest and pushing his lips forcefully against mine. I narrow my eyes and knee him in the balls. He steps back, scowling in pain.
"You bitch, don't you believe in second chances?" Marcus asks, in a pleading tone.
"No, not in this case. You'll just leave, you don't care. You don't care about anyone, or what they think of you," I spit, and then he surprises me by punching me round the face. I wince, before scowling. I run towards him and jump onto his back, hitting his back hard, before punching him straight in the jaw.
"Don't you ever come near me again," I spit, before turning and leaving the room.
"Avery!" I hear Alec call after me, and I stop and wait for him.
"It's okay. Everything's okay," Alec whispers, and that's when the tears start falling. Alec pulls me into his chest and hugs me. The warmth of his body makes you feel safe, and I relax into him, wrapping my arms around his neck.
"It's okay, don't worry," Alec whispers.
"Okay," I mumble into his chest.
"Good, we need to get back," Alec says, stepping away. And that's when it starts. The heavy breathing, the quick heartbeats.
"Alec, help me," I whisper, as my vision starts to go blurry and my body starts to shake.
"Lucas!" Alec shouts loudly, his voice louder than the music. Alec runs towards me, and catches me just as I was about to fall. The last vision I see is Lucas running towards us.

Alec's POV
The ambulance takes ages to come. I carry Avery outside and wait. Her chest is slowly moving up and down, but it's slower than it's supposed to. Her body in my arm feels lifeless, and dead.
"Will she be okay?" I ask Lucas, as I see the blue flashing lights start to appear.
"Hopefully," Lucas replies, as the ambulance pull up and we place Avery onto a stretcher.
"Alec, can you go in the ambulance?" Lucas asks, and I nod, before getting into the ambulance. Lucas turns to walk away, and the ambulance leaves. I sit next to Avery, as they run some checks on her. I hold her hand tightly in mine.
"I'll never let go of your hand," I whisper to Avery, and I'm not sure if I am imagining it, but I feel her hand squeeze mine.
"She'll be okay, she just has to spend a week in hospital, at least," The doctor informs me, as we reach the hospital. I nod, as we walk out the ambulance. I keep holding Avery's hand, as they push her to her room to the stretcher.
"You can stay in the room for as long as you want," The doctor informs me, as he injects something into her arm.
"We need her to stay asleep for that week. This makes her stay asleep until we wake her," The doctor explains, and I frown.
"Right," I reply, as Lucas walks in.
"Is she okay?" Lucas asks.
"They're keeping her asleep for a week but she's fine," I explain.
"We'll postpone the tour. Let's wait a few months," Lucas suggests and I nod.
"Okay," I agree, smiling. Lucas sits on the opposite side of Avery, and kisses her forehead.
"I love you," Lucas whispers to her, and I smile. They're the closest siblings I've ever seen.
"You'd do anything for her, wouldn't you?" I ask, curiously.
"Of course I would, she's my sister," Lucas replies, clearly.
"Okay," I reply, leaning back into my chair, still holding her hand.
I'd do anything for her too.
Because I'm falling for Avery Knight.
