I wake up, breathing quicker than normal. I sit up and have one of my pills.
Where am I?
What am I doing?
What's going on?
I get out of bed and accidentally knock something off the side of a desk...I think. I stumble out of room and find the stairs. I hold tight into the railway and the moonlight shows my shadow. I walk cautiously down the stairs and into the kitchen. I find the glasses and try to make a glass of water but my hands are shaking. I fell dizzy and I think I'm going to be sick.
"Lucas!" I yell and I immediately hear someone get up and run downstairs.
"Ava? What's wrong?" He asks quickly.
"I feel sick and dizzy and I can't calm down," I say quickly, holding the counter for support. He makes me a glass of water and he holds it there while I drink it. The sickness goes but I still feel dizzy.
"Do you need another drink?" Lucas asks, softly.
"N-no thanks," I whisper.
"Okay, breathe in and out," Lucas states and I do just that and my heart starts going back to normal. Lucas picks me up and places me on the counter.
"Thanks," I say when it's back to normal.
"How often do you get these?" Lucas asks me.
"Usually about once a week but I was nervous about coming here so I guess that's why I've had two," I reply and Lucas hugs me.
"I love you," he whispers, kissing my cheek.
"I love you too," I smile back, hugging him closer.
"Maybe you should explain to me what I need to do if you do have one?" Lucas suggests.
"Okay, well if I'm shaking badly and I can't see or anything, which I should be able to inform you. If I didn't say just do it anyway. Lie my on the floor. Do you know the recovery position?" I ask him. He nods his head.
"Well put me so I'm in it. Then leave me there for five minutes. If I'm unconcious, which I shouldn't be, but if I am. If I don't wake in two minutes, call the ambulance or something because that's what my doctor told me to do. There's also the chance I'm just having an asthma attack, and I might as well give you an inhaler as I have five, you never know. I should only have two pumps of that at a time," I explain.
"Why do you have five inhalers?" Lucas asks, raising an eyebrow.
"Ones in my sports bag, one I carry around with me, one stays in my room, another used to stay in my car and the other would usually be kept by my football coach but he's given it back now I've gone," I grin and Lucas chuckles.
"You're an odd girl," Lucas shakes his head, a smile on his face.
"What time is it?" I ask.
"Five," Lucas replies.
"Well I'm going on a run," I state.
"Is that a good idea?" Lucas asks, frowning.
"You can come if you want but I have to go as I have to be ready for Saturday," I state before going upstairs. I go in my room and change into my football shirt and some shorts. I place my inhaler in my pocket before tying my hair up. Then I walk downstairs where Lucas is in his running gear.
"Let's go," Lucas grins before we leave. We start running down the streets and head towards the town. Then we turn off and run round the back of the estate. It's quiet and there's a lot of trees.
