Alec's POV
This is awkward. Definitely awkward. It's the third day of Avery being asleep, and I'm still here holding her hand. But Grace is opposite me, looking at me in a funny way. And Lucas is asleep, which is good. He's been awake constantly, his eyes glassy and as if he's not here. And she's fine. So I don't know what he's worried about.
"You like her, don't you?" Grace asks, as she finally realises.
"Er, of course not," I lie, frowning.
"You, are the worst liar I've ever seen," Grace laughs, and I roll my eyes.
"So what if I like her? She doesn't like me like that," I reply, sighing.
"She will, in her heart, she knows. But she's someone who ignores things like this. She has other things on her mind, but soon, it will become clear to her," Grace says, and I smile.
"Okay," I reply, pulling Avery's hand close to my chest.
"Who likes who?" Lucas mumbles, his blue eyes opening.
"Er..." Grace mumbles, awkwardly.
"Yeah, er," I mutter, cursing Grace in my head.
"It's fine, I know you like Avery," Lucas laughs, sitting up.
"What?" I ask, surprised.
"You like my sister, I could tell. I didn't realise before, but that night she collapsed, I saw it in your eyes," Lucas replies, shrugging.
"So you don't care?" I ask, curiously.
"No, as long as you don't hurt her," Lucas replies, smiling slightly.
"In fact, I couldn't think of anyone better for her," Lucas grins.
"Why?" I ask, frowning.
"Her last boyfriends, they've all been trouble, not just Marcus. They've used her, and she could feel it, yet she never stopped. So I'm pleased someone like you likes her. In fact, I'm relieved," Lucas smiles, and Grace winks at me.
"I've got to go, see you!" Grace grins, before leaving. Lucas moves into Grace's seat, and takes Avery's other hand.
"Will she definitely be okay?" Lucas asks, looking fearful. He looks lost, and I really hope she is okay.
"That's what the nurse says, they're the ones making her sleep," I reply, shrugging. Then the door flies open, and Lucas and I jump.
"Uplift are in the house!" Max shouts, with River and Tyler following. Lucas and I share a look, and roll our eyes.
"Well I'm in Uplift, and I'm here," I reply, rolling my eyes.
"Is she alright?" Tyler asks, sitting down.
"I think so," I reply, as Max sits down next to me.
"Then you can be her Prince Charming," Max smirks.
"How many people know?!" I scowl, and Lucas rolls his eyes.
"Everyone," Tyler replies, smirking. Then I hear something. The beeps for Avery's heart monitor slows down, and Lucas's eyes shadow, but then it speeds up. It races really fast, until Avery gasps for breath, and her eyes shoot open.
"Avery, I love you," Lucas whispers, smiling. Lucas kisses her forehead, and Avery raises an eyebrow.
"What day is it?" Avery mumbles, and I smirk.
"This is your third day of sleeping," I reply, and Avery frowns.
"Great," Avery mutters.
"At least you're awake," Lucas grins, and the doctor comes in. He looks surprised that Avery's awake, and quickly does some tests, before leaving.
"The doctor says you can leave tomorrow," Lucas says, walking back into the room after talking to the doctor.
"What did the doctor say?" I ask, curiously.
"Just saying that she has anxiety and how she shouldn't be in any stressful situations for a while. She will probably be inside a lot, maybe you could stay with her sometimes?" Lucas suggests, sending me a not-so-secret wink.
"That would be nice," Avery grins, and I blush slightly.
"Great," I grin, and Uplift and Lucas roll their eyes.
"Perfect," Lucas chuckles.
We spend the rest of the day telling Avery everything which happened since she's been asleep. She was upset about the tour, but she got over it quickly. And do you know what the best part is?
She never let go of my hand.

Tracy..."You never told me I was supposed to be at this show," I say to Lucas, who looks down.
"Well you are, so think of a song and sing it," Lucas grins, and I roll my eyes.
"How many songs?" I ask, frowning.
"Two, plus they'll pair you in a random duet when you get there," Lucas replies, and I nod, before instantly deciding in my two songs. I sit down on the sofa next to Alec, who smiles softly at me.
"Hey," I smile, putting my legs across his and resting my head on the arm rest.
"You okay?" Alec asks, and I nod.
"Yeah, are you?" I reply, and Alec laughs.
"I'm good," Alec chuckles.
"I'm just going to sleep on you," I laugh, before closing my eyes.
"Okay," Alec replies, smiling. And that's when I drift off to sleep.

I'm so sorry for not updating for ages! I've had serious writers block, so I'm sorry this chapter is quite short!
Anyway, I've started writing two new books! One I'm updating whenever I feel like it, called 'Scarlet' which is about a girl called Scarlet. Then there's the book 'Princess Charming', which I've been writing for a while, and I've finished writing it, but I'm going to post a new chapter every Friday!
Anyway, thanks for reading and don't forget to vote and comment on this chapter, even though it's not very good!
Lots of love,
Alexis x
