T/W: Mentions of suicidal thoughts and panic attacks

*Third person POV*

It was a calm evening for the most part but Sirius' anxiety was at an all-time high because tonight was the night he was going to tell his best mate and crush that he is gay.

After dinner, Sirius asked to speak to Remus in private. James nodded, just going along with it and Peter also just went along with it. Sirius brought Remus up to their usual spot in the Astronomy Tower.

"What's wrong?" Remus asked, noticing the anxious look on Sirius' face.

"I just don't want to lose you. You're going to hate me," Sirius said, breaking down into a sob.

"Hey, I promise you won't lose me and I could never hate you" Remus said, rubbing circles on Sirius' back.

"I-I think I'm, um, I'm gay," Sirius hiccuped out, after awhile before breaking the hug, "but you probably hate me so I'll just go," Sirius said getting up to leave. Before Sirius could leave, Remus grabbed Sirius' wrist and spun him around to bring the boy into a kiss. Sirius was shocked at first but he quickly started kissing back and felt butterflies erupt throughout him. The kiss was deep and passionate, a little clingy even.

When they pulled away, Remus shouted, "Surprise, I'm bi!" then a little quieter, "I really like you, Padfoot" he dropped his hand into Sirius'.

"I really like you too, Moony. As more than a friend," Sirius responds.

"Good. So then do you want to, um, get butterbeer at the Three Broomsticks?" Remus asked.

"Moony, are you asking me on a date?" Sirius questioned, taking Remus' other hand.

"I mean if you want it to be. But like it doesn't have to be. I don't want to pressure you or anything." Remus rambled, blushing.

" I would love to go on a date with you, Remmy, '' Sirius responded, connecting their lips for a kiss.

It was shorter than the first and less needy, but it was still nice.

*Time skip*

Sirius and Remus were cuddling in silence when Sirius spoke.

"Hey Rem?" he asked.

"Yeah, what's up?" Remus responded.

"We have been dating for just over a year now and well, I would like to tell James about us. I've been hiding my whole life and I'm tired. I understand if you're not ready though," Sirius confessed to Remus.

"Of course. I'm ready when you are, love," Remus said, stroking Sirius' hair.

"I just, what if he's weird about it? Like what if he doesn't support us?" Sirius asked, sounding scared.

"Hey, it'll be alright. Prongs will support us. He acts all tough but he truly is so protective and caring," Remus assured Sirius, pulling his boyfriend closer to him.

"I know. I just can't stand the thought of losing him," Sirius said.

He started to sob into his boyfriend's chest.

"It's okay. I know, just let it all out," Remus comforted, holding Sirius close to him.

After a few minutes of the boys holding each other and Remus whispering comforting words to Sirius, Sirius broke the hug.
