A/N: A ghost story for Halloween as promised. It is very late, my sincerest apologies, life has been life(if ya know, ya know). Anyway, I hope y'all had a spooktacular Halloween.

T/W: Death and paranormal activity

*Third Person PoV*

Some are lucky and others aren't so lucky. Some die with those close to them and others don't. No one can truly understand the loss of someone dear to them unless they experience it themself.

Some are special. Some can bridge the gap between lost and found. No one can truly understand the feelings of ghosts unless they have experienced them themself.

Sirius Black is one of those such people, he has both felt lost and been found.

Sirius died in his late thirties. He was unsure how he died and who he left behind. He wandered the halls late at night, the place felt familiar and he could almost see what had happened in these hallowed halls.

All around him was dark. It was cold and lonely. He had nothing to do but wander. One day he wandered into a light room, a sense of warmth surrounded him. He had the feeling of being embraced by a loved one. He heard a voice hum in the corner.

"Places we've seen, people we've been" The voice sang softly, almost a whisper.

The melody danced through the air, it was a haunting beauty. It sent shivers down one's spine. Sirius found himself drifting toward the sound.

Sirius felt it was a call for him, he sang back, "Places we've seen, people we've been"

"Sirius?" The voice asked.

Sirius drifted closer, he wanted to reach the source of the voice but he hit a wall.

"Places we've adventured, people we've advised" Sirius continued, attempting to lour the owner of the song to come near.

Sure enough, they did, sandy blonde hair danced toward him.

"Sirius," The owner glowed, and he held his hand up to Sirius.

Sirius brought his hand as close as he could. Their hands brushed each other's, separated only by the living and the dead. Sirius bridged the gap, and suddenly he was found. All of his memories flooded back. He remembered what his family had done, his friends saving him, and best of all, he remembered the man that stood before him.

"Remus," Sirius croaked

"Yes, it's me. Is it really you?" Remus said.

"Yes,"

He remembered all the love they had for each other, he remembered the places they'd seen and the people they'd been.

"The song," Sirius failed to finish his sentence, he didn't know what he wanted to ask.

Remus somehow understood, "It was for you, it was about us"

"I love you," Sirius said, barely a whisper.

"I love you too" Remus whispered back, "I'll see you on the other side" he let go, and Sirius fell back.

Sirius had been freed and allowed into the afterlife where he waited for Remus. Remus died two years later. They lived together for the rest of their entireties in the afterlife and their souls stayed together even after their ends.

A/N: It was super short and not very spooky but I hope y'all enjoyed it!
