A/N:  As you may or may not know today is international day of trans visibility so I wanted to post something special.

This is based on the headcanon that Sirius is Gender Fluid (a personal favorite headcanon of mine, I'm not biased at all).

Side note/fun fact: The term gender fluid was first used publicly in the 1990s so it's technically historically inaccurate for Sirius to be using the term since the marauders attended Hogwarts in the 70s but oh well.

TW: Cursing, homophobia/transphobia, and mentions of past abuse/PTSD flashback

*Third-person POV*

"Hey!" Remus walked up to Sirius cheerfully.

His face immediately changed when he noticed that Sirius was looking anxious.

"What's wrong?" Remus asked, sitting next to his boyfriend on a bench.

*Sirius POV*

"Um, I have something. I've been wanting to tell you something for a long time and I just don't want things to change between us or for you to stop loving me," I say, feeling the knot in my stomach tighten.

"Sirius, I could never stop loving you no matter what," he grabs one of my hands.

I look up at him.

"Even if I murdered someone and got sent to Azkaban?" I joke to buy time.

I'm ready but I just need a few more minutes to think of the best way to do this.

He thinks for a second before responding, "I would be very upset and hurt, but I don't think I'll ever be able to let go of you."

"Well, I know I'll always love you too," I smile.

He beams.

"So what is this thing you need to tell me?" He becomes more serious.

"Um, well, I've known for a long time that I'm not always a boy, but it was hard to identify exactly what I was feeling because sometimes I feel like a boy, so my identity felt very well, fluid. Hence the reason I came to the conclusion I'm genderfluid. Basically, my gender moves and comes through in waves, much like water which is a fluid. So my gender changes over time, it could take years, months, weeks, a day, or even just in hours," I explain, tears starting to fall because it feels so good to finally say out loud.

"Okay, thank you for telling me. What can I do to help support you?" He moves closer to me and cups my cheek with his hand.

I look into his warm amber eyes.

"Maybe, you can call me your partner or significant other instead of boyfriend since I don't always feel like a boy?" I suggest.

"Done. Anything else?" He inquires.

"Um, maybe ask me my pronouns every morning and I'll tell you if they change," I say.

"Of course. Is that all?" He invites me to continue the list.

"Not really. Just keep loving me," I bite my lip.

"Always. I will love you forever," he rubs my cheek.

"Promise?" I question.

"I promise. You're stuck with me," he promises.

"You're not the worst person to be stuck with," I flirt.
