Mommy Issues

You were peacefully sleeping and you heard a scream come from downstairs. You quickly sat up, drool trickling down your face. You wiped it off and ran downstairs, almost tripping over a plushie.. again. 

Lilith's arm was covered in feathers and you gasped. Eda gave Lilith a bottle of elixir. "Calm down, the curse acts stronger when you're stressed."

Lilith sighed as her arm returned to normal. "How have you managed this for such a long time?"

"Well, it was hard, but now that we split the curse, the elixirs work again." You sat down on the couch, just staring at the wall.

They all walked outside the door and you quickly got up and followed.

"..curious about my past?"

"Always, always curious."

Eda put her hands on her hips. "I may have been using it to hit from someon-"

"Probably me!" said a voice. A tornado with a giant bird flying above it appeared out of nowhere and out came a woman. You gasped as the woman stepped forward.

"Hello, little witchlet, come here!" The woman ran towards Eda with open arms.

Eda frowned and stopped her from going to her. "Gwendolyn." 

"Oh, are we still on that," she smiled, "I'm your mother, call me 'Mom!'"

You, Luz, and Lilith who opened the window shouted, "MOM?!"

Eda looked back at you and the others with confused eyes. Gwendolyn sighed, "It's so goood to see you again," she cupped Eda's face and Eda backed away, "how are you feeling? Are you eating well? I heard about the Petrification Ceremony."

Gwendolyn crossed her arms and furrowed her eyebrows angrily. "Trust me, I have a lot of strong words for that Belos."

Lilith jumped to Eda out of nowhere and waved to her mom anxiously. "Mother, you know I was there too!"

Gwendolyn smiled, "Oh, hello, sweet flea." She looked at Eda. 

"Now, give me a moment with Eda, today I am about to complete a 30-year mission." You raised an eyebrow and looked at Luz who just shrugged in response.

Eda face palmed, "Oh, no."

"Your mother has finally succeeded!"

"Here it comes."

"Today, I shall be curing your curse!"

Eda blinked, "No thanks."

You, Luz, and Lilith gasped and leaned towards Eda, "WHAT!?"

Eda shrugged you off. "I got my elixir system, I'm good."

Gwendolyn frowned and walked towards Eda. "But.. who knows what they put in those nasty concoctions?" 

"Actually, I do, and would you look at the time."

Eda looked at her imaginary watch and shoved her own mother onto her staff, "So sad to see you go, okay bye!" And she smacked the back of the staff and her mother flew away.

"Moms, am I right?"

All three of you looked at Eda with open mouths. Lilith stomped over to Eda, "I haven't seen mother in forever, and she was handing you a cure!"

You walked over as well. "I'd kill to see my parents right now!"

 Luz followed behind you. "And you just launch your MOTHER into the sky!?"

"Okay, listen, she comes here every year telling me she has a new cure for my curse, but they never ever work!" Eda stomped away.

"Mother visits Edalyn regularly?" Lilith muttered sadly as she walked into the house. Luz watched Gwendolyn land over by some rocks and ran over to her, you followed her because you literally had nothing else to do, so why not?
