Him Again..

Luz told you all about yesterday, how she got Amity fired, but then un-fired, how she found the diary.. which was eaten by an echo mouse, but, the echo mouse can 'play' the memories back so it's all fine, and she told you about how Amity kissed her on the cheek!

You watched Luz tap on the glass tank she kept the echo mouse in. "Oh, little echo mouse, you ate the diary that can get me and Y/N home, can't you cough up just a teeny bit?"

King held his teddy bear plushie and walked over. "Just.. squeeze it out!" he said as the head of his plushie exploded off. You frowned. "Maybe we just need to be patient?" you said as Luz pressed her face against the tank.

"Please tell me your secrets." Luz said, staring at the echo mouse.

Eda opened the door and she was wearing a nice black suit. "Oh, Eda, nice choice of clothing today!" you said, admiring her suit. "Thanks kid, but you both are gonna be late for school." You turned back to Luz as she pressed her face more into the tank.

"Alright, I guess you won't be getting a magic staff with your friends!" Luz zoomed past Eda, holding your arm and dragging you behind her. "Come on, Eda. We gotta fly!"

"That's the spirit!"

You tapped your foot nervously as everyone around you was talking. You didn't do that great in crowds, which is why you hated school with a burning passion. 

"Good tidings on this momentous day," Principal Bump exclaimed, walking in front of a big wooden nest. "You're all about to receive your witches' staffs and, more importantly, meet your Palismen." You had your hand covering your mouth to keep you from squealing from excitement. 

"This is a crucial step in your magical development, Palismen are your lifelong partners. They can become both your good friends and a powerful tool. In my case.." He snapped and the demon on his head got off. 

You watched in awe as his long hair flowed down. GOD DAMN! How does he keep his hair so smooth and nice! Wow!

Everyone gasped and stared at his hair. "Frewin here helps me see." Eda stepped forwards. "Now, traditionally, young witches carve their staffs from the branch of an old Palistrom tree." Principal Bump frowned and closed his eye. "But, sadly, Palistrom trees are becoming more rare." He opened his eye. "And those that remain are guarded covetously."

Eda pointed to Principal Bump. "That's why I've teamed up with Bumpipoo-" "Never call me that." "-to bring you..."

A giant 'thing' that was a woman's head with long hair and giant wings flapped down onto the big wooden nest thing and shouted, "Palisman adoption day!"

You watched as a cardinal palisman tried escaping out of a small hole in the border but Principal Bump grabbed it and placed it back. It flapped it's wings in anger and turned around in circles. Luz watched as well and awed. "Awhh, little rascal!"

"These little ones have no had homes in many years, they want to feel a connection. Kneel and state your deepest wish" -she pointed her wing at the palisman- "and your like-minded partner will find you."

The jerk, Boscha said, "Ugh, I want my own Palisman, not some trashy hand-me-down."

Willow smiled. "Your loss!" She ran towards the Palisman, kneeled, and clasped her hands together. "I want to be strong and wish to protect everyone I love. And those who get in my way will feel the sting of defeat."
