"When I say she'd changed, I didn't suggest for you to provoke her" Josie softens.
"Sorry" I falsely apologise.
I'm glad she knew I was still here... The thing is, I think it was all an act. As on the first day she came back, I saw how she looked at me before running away, she knew it was me. So the whole 'Who are you' seemed false.
"Okay well I'll see you around" Josie's voice seemed tense and slightly annoyed.
"Well done" Jade sarcastically teases.
"Shut up" I shrug off.
Turning back around to see Lizzie looking me up and down, completely different than before, almost like she was remembering me a little bit it at a time, which was slightly offensive that I needed to be 'remembered'.
Before turning back around to talk to her new found friends for a couple minutes before class started.
"What've we got next" I ask my best friend.
"Latin" Jade reassures.
And by the fact that Josie walked the opposite direction, suggested to me that she wasn't in this class.
We begin to walk to class.
"Oh I forget to mention that you're coming to a party with me tonight" I state.
"Do I have an opinion on this?" Jade replies.
"No" I shortly respond.
And without arguing she agreed... in her own way as we head towards class.
Soon enough we get to Latin class just in time, throwing the door open to be greeted by my favourite teacher.
I instantly stop in my tracks, as my smile is wiped clean off my face.
The seat next to mine was usually taken by Jed.... call it a shock when I see an oblivious Lizzie Saltzman sat on it.
And she sure as hell had the same reaction as her eyes widened when she saw me.
"Have we changed the seating plan" I ask the teacher.
Hoping to god that we had, and that I'd just not been allocated my seat.
"Oh no its just usual seats for now Hope, I just moved some people around" The teacher flashes a smile as my heart sunk.
I turn back around, Body stiffened as I reluctantly walk over to my seat.
Making sure that as I walked past Lizzie, The bottom part of my back grazed over her head.
And slumping down into my seat, trying to ignore that the literal devil is sat beside me, knowing that if she said one cocky word to me that I'd have to 'incendia' that bitch.
The teacher came around to hand out some Latin textbooks, one of them between two.
Call me petty or whatever but I did in fact enjoy doing every little thing to make Lizzie annoyed, it lightened my mood.
So when we got our text book, I purposely grabbed it and placed it directly infront of me so she struggled to read it.
Every time she tried to move it, I'd just move it further and further away.
"Seriously" Lizzie whispered angrily.
"Shut up I'm trying to work" I shrug off, turning away from her to hide my smile.
"Miss can I have another text book" Lizzie asks the teacher.
Who happily complies as she comes to bring her a spare, I was so tempted to grab that one too, but I figured it would be too much.
Every once in a while, because she's right handed and I'm left, Her arm would knock into mine, if it was on purpose or accidental, it had to stop or I'd snap it off.
I made sure the next time she did it, I purposely knocked her arm so that it sent a huge pen line down her page.
"Oh for fuck sake" Lizzie sighs.
"What do you want from me" She adds.
"I want you to leave" I cockily respond, shortly.
"Thats not going to happen I'm afraid" Lizzie confronts me.
"Thats a shame" I respond.
"Wait. Is this all about the thing that happened years ago. Are you really still pissed off about that. Oh for gods sake" Lizzie giggles.
"Are you joking. Of course I'm still pissed off about that. Do you even remember what you did?
"Get over yourself Hope" Lizzie sniggers.
"Thats easy for you to say, You were on the other side of it" I fold my arms.
She tries to say something but is interrupted by the teacher.
At this point it was the end of the lesson, not wasting any time for me to sprint out of there. As quite frankly it brought back memories I'd rather forget.
I had to concentrate on my breathing, closing my eyes to contain myself. I went through a lot at the hands of her, and she didn't even have the decency to apologise.
Of course she didn't.
