sunoo doesn't know where to go at this moment . his mind can't think of any good place to stay while he's in pain . he was still clenching his fist while rubbing his eyes to wipe the tears that's aggressively falling to his cheeks .. it was so painful for him to know that there's really no hope for him to have sunghoon all for himself .
even before , he knows sunghoon can't be his but it is so painful now that fate just confirmed that .
a minute after he sat on a bench , his phone rang .. it's a call from jay , his step brother . maybe he'll just annoy him or might tell him to do things that their mom told him to do but passes it to him to make him free from errands . but knowing jay , he doesn't want his calls to be left unanswered so sunoo unwillingly answered it .
" sunoo , where are you ?" jay asked his younger brother .. he wants them to hang out because his dad just gave him his allowance . his dad who left their mom for another girl but good thing he's rich and gives Jay money every month .. and well , the amount could sustain all their needs including Jay's shopping needs .
though sunoo is crying , he held it for a moment before he could answer him .
" I'm at the park near the pet cafe where I always hang out , why ?" he said and jay could hear his raspy voice.. he knows that he's like that when he cried or having a soar throat but this time when he heard Sunoo sniffling , he knew something was up .
" are you crying ? "
sunoo was taken aback .. jay shouldn't know that he cried .. much importantly , that he cried for Sunghoon .
" what ? no ! " he denied but any moment , he'll shed more tears .
" yah , don't lie to me .. I know you . just stay where you are , I'll come and pick you up " jay said before hanging up . sunoo couldn't do anything but hum in response . he knows that if jay's like that , it means he's serious .
or maybe not ..
" and don't cry like you've lost a toy hmm ? " he added before finally ending it to annoy him . he likes to annoy the hell out of his younger brother but secretly cared for him . sunoo can't help but to smile when he heard it . it just made him to stop crying . well , why is he crying ? he must let them see that he's not affected . that he's strong . he can move on .. he will .
after a good twenty minutes of waiting , jay finally showed up to surprise sunoo from behind .
" boo !" sunoo suddenly felt a pair of hands pushed him that got him surprised and nervous .. he grabbed his chest , feeling his heart beating like crazy . he turned to see his brother having a wide smile on his face but instantly drops when he saw how puffy and red sunoo's eyes are .
" hey ! why do you have to do it ? I might die of having a heart attack because of you " sunoo rolled his eyes but giggled after . he can't hate his brother ..
" you look like a mess piggy .. eww , you're ugly " he said , trying to light up the mood . he doesn't want his brother to be sad like this . it's kinda unusual and awkward since sunoo is a bubbly kid .
sunoo furrowed his brows when he heard the nickname jay called him . he's not that fat to be called piggy .. and he doesn't eat feeds and doesn't live in a pigpen so why the name piggy ?
sunoo slapped him real hard that caused him to hiss in pain and even shouted 'AAHHHHH!'
"yah ! why are you hitting me ?"
" now , we're even big bro .. " sunoo says and laughed a little . now that jay was with him .. he forgets that he's in pain for a moment .
" you should laugh , you're not you when you're not happy . so quit with the thoughts that breaks your heart .. I'm not used seeing you cry .. it makes you ugly and I don't want someone ugly near me " sunoo thought that he's serious but then again , it's jay so you can't see him being serious .
" why did you cry by the way ? did someone bullied you ?" he continued and this time , he looks serious .
sunoo doesn't know what to tell his brother . if he'll tell him it's about sunghoon , the older might tease him for the rest of their lives .. but he doesn't want to lie and keep a secret from him . jay's a reliable and trustworthy brother but most of the time , he's a tease.
" umm .. "
" is it about sunghoon ?" jay suddenly said that made sunoo to turn his head towards him .. how did he know ?
" you know sunoo , I knew that you like him .. I'm your brother and you can't hide anything from me especially when it comes to sunghoon . I observed you a lot whenever you're with him and if you're not , you keep on talking about him . I saw him with a guy at the pet cafe and they're really sweet with each other . is that guy his boyfriend ?" jay said and sunoo immediately tear up and cried silently . so he gently caressed sunoo's back , as if he's telling him that everything's alright and he's there for him .
" jay .. it hurts so much "
