this is their third day and ni-ki finished everything that his father told him to do . he's a bit excited to see sunoo once again and just wished that his dad would go out now so he can go also .
when he heard the main door closing , he instantly peeked through his window to make sure that he really left .
he went out afterwards when he couldn't see his father's back . he's like a thief waiting for the owner of the house to leave . it's always like this and he's used to it . now that it's still vacation from school , he doesn't have a reason to go out and escape from him . he just wished the school season will come right away so he won't stay at their house .
he came on the right time that him and sunoo had decided but still on the same place like before . but this time , they planned to have a picnic instead .
sunoo suggested that he's the one who will bring the food and ni-ki also agreed . honestly , he doesn't have time to cook when his dad is at home . he'll wonder if he'll see ni-ki cooking unnecessary snacks .
he saw sunoo running .. he really likes to run .
" oh right ! that guy who runs like a kid " he said to himself when he remembered the guy he bumped before
" sunoo !" he called him , excitedly .. he wants to tell him that they had met before .
sunoo huffed and trying to catch his breath . he's late again this time that he has to run ..
" yeah ?" he said when his breath got normal . he doesn't know if ni-ki is just excited to see him or he have something to tell him . either both , it's fine for him .
" I think we met before " ni-ki said and helps sunoo to unfold the picnic mat .
sunoo just stared at him and was confused .. he doesn't remember meeting him before . maybe he just mistaken him for another person .
" but I don't remember meeting you before . maybe it's just my doppelganger "
" no , it's you . didn't you remember that you bumped someone like a week ago ? you were crying that time " he explains and sunoo is trying to remember it .
" ah ! you're right I bumped into someone and I fell on the ground . is it you ? oh gosh ."
ni-ki smiled when sunoo remembered
" I think we're meant to be " ni-ki stated and sunoo just chuckled .. honestly , he doesn't know how to react . they just started this set up and ni-ki is now telling him they're meant to be .. gosh , like they were destined ? it's just cringey .
" okay , suit yourself ni-ki " sunoo just said and the younger just giggled .
" so , what's the reason that you cried that time?" he asks , though he had the idea why he cried . jungwon told him beforehand but he also wants sunoo to tell him about his story . this way , they'll maybe develop some bond .
ni-ki takes a sandwich and stared at him . he noticed that sunoo is hesitating to answer him .
" it's okay if you don't want to tell me . "
" no , I'm afraid I'll become emotional if I start to tell you about it "
" don't worry . if you want to cry , you can . I won't judge " ni-ki said that made sunoo smile . he really love the feeling when ni-ki's near him . it's so comforting and he feel safe .
" so I cried because of my bestfriend whom I like for years " he started and he felt like tearing up when he remembered the moment sunghoon told him that he's dating jake " told me that he have a boyfriend now " he sadly stated and a tear finally escaped from his eye . good thing it wasn't that much . maybe his eyes got tired of crying that he can't cry now or he's not used to cry in front of other people .
" don't cry for him ever again , sunoo . he doesn't deserve you . and I promise to make you happy while we're together .. you won't cry anymore " ni-ki unconsciously said . he didn't noticed that he just promised sunoo something that he can't fulfill . he's dying soon .. he can't be with him forever . he'll cry for sure if ni-ki leaves .
sunoo stared at him and smiled .. his eyes went crescent and ni-ki just want to poke his puffy cheeks . he's so adorable .
" really ? " sunoo scooted near him and still with his adorable smile . his cheeks blushes a bit . he looks like a marshmallow
and that's when it comes to his mind what he just said . he felt guilty but he can still give happiness to sunoo right ?
ni-ki nods .. he knows sunoo needs him like how he needs sunoo . he felt alive again being with him .
