Jimin's lips edged from the corners into a wicked smile while his eyes remained abhorrent as if they were trained to be like that. He stepped inside the elevator and Jungkook stepped back with his middle finger still facing up.
Jimin kept his stare at the boy while Jungkook looked like a sheep in front of a wolf, trying hard to not look scared but his eyes showed a little bit of funk. His body language remained unbothered by how Jimin was towering over him.
Taehyung was sweating through the skin at the sight of the two. It seemed like they would start throwing hands at any minute now. "Stupid bet," he interjected by placing himself in between the two and lowered Jungkook's hand that seemed to have been frozen. "Sorry, Sir. He won't repeat it. I was the one who did the bet. We are sorry. We did not know you would walk in." He bowed and started to pull Jungkook aside.
Jimin's eyes remained fixed on Jungkook as if he will turn into a feral animal and attack the younger's neck. Taehyung's words fell on deaf ears. It was when Taehyung took Jungkook out with him and they were completely out of sight when Jimin looked at the floor number. He had to get out here but the elevator was moving down already.
"Damn it!" He kicked the elevator door, fisting his hair roughly in the process. By the time he reached his floor again, the class was starting so he rushed in. It was after a long break of almost 2 months that everyone was meeting again. The faces of people looked different. Few grew beards and mustaches over the summer or few people's voices changed. Few lost weight or few gained some, but they still were the same people.
"Jimin! You lost weight." Someone yelled out from the corner and Jimin smiled as he made his way.
"I have been working out." He bumped his fist with his friend.
"I can tell." Hoseok nodded as he checked out the boy and bestowed thumbs up being impressed. "Good luck saving yourself from the more attention you are going to get."
Before Jimin could say anything, the teacher walked in with the brightest smile that could blind everyone there. "Good morning, students." She greeted.
"Good morning, Ms. Choi." The whole class chorused together.
"I will be your class teacher this year. Before I begin, I would like to say a few things. I don't mind students asking me questions repeatedly but I will mind if you don't answer when I ask you something. I don't tolerate bullying and you will face serious consequences if I hear any whispers. If you study well and behave, I will be your best friend and if you don't, well you will find out. Now, I have an announcement." Ms. Choi looked over the heads of students and spotted Jungkook sitting at the back.
Her lips perked up and she motioned the boy to come forward. Jungkook stood up and all heads turned to him. He cleaved his way ahead through the collective gazes and heard murmurs. Ms. Choi smiled as she patted the boy's shoulder lightly, boosting him. As Jungkook stood facing the class, everyone was gawking at him so curiously as if he was to pull a snake out of his sleeves. "He is a new student and an addition to the class. Please introduce yourself." Ms. Choi tapped the boy to speak.
"Hi everyone, I am Jeon Jungkook. I used to be your junior but I will be studying alongside you as a classmate from now on."
"How old are you?" A girl asked from the front row.
"I am 16." The boy replied.
"He is so cute." The girl said after turning to her classmate and the entire class emerged with laughter except for Jimin who rolled his eyes.
"Thank you very much for your remark, Ms. Man. I would rather appreciate it if you let the boy finish first." Ms. Choi spoke indignantly. The laughter was replaced with pin-drop silence.
