Says I, Jeon Jungkook who had just turned 17 today.
Jungkook replied to Jimin first thing in the morning and yawned, stretching his legs and arms as he woke up. It was eleven past forty when he peered at the watch that caused him to jolt up.
Running quickly, he showered and changed into his new clothes before he walked down to find his parents looking like a dream. "Sit with me," Mrs. Jeon patted an empty chair between her and her husband at the dining table. "I have made your favorite food."
Jungkook grinned happily and soon, he fondly started chomping on everything. "What do you want to do today?" Asked the gentleman.
"Mom said we are going shopping and then we will have our customary dinner. Isn't it?" Jungkook asked.
"Yeah, sure," the father nodded. "We thought that maybe you'd want to spend your birthday with your friends. Who was that boy? Bambam and Taehyung?"
"And Jimin," Mrs. Jeon added which caused Jungkook's ears to turn red.
"Ah, yeah, Jimin... I forgot about him." Mr. Jeon rubbed his temple.
"Hyung said he already had plans, so we can spend time together." Jungkook smiled. The boy loved being with his parents on his birthday. He just wanted Jimin to be there too.
"Okay," Mrs. Jeon nodded meekly.
Once finished with eating, the lady went to her room to bring her bag so she could take Jungkook out shopping.

The mother-son duo drove to the mall while singing along the tunes. They stopped for ice cream twice, and Jungkook was ecstatic.
When they entered the mall, Mrs. Jeon hopped store to store as Jungkook bought new clothes, shoes, many accessories, a toss pillow set, and then he finally went to the electronics store to check headphones. She waited outside as she spotted Jimin with a good-looking older boy strolling away.
"Kookie!" She called Jungkook and the boy whipped his head in her direction. "I am right across the elevator." She informed her son who nodded and she promenaded towards Jimin with quick strides.
"Jimin!" She called once and the boy immediately found her as he turned around. Flashing a beaming smile, Jimin excused himself from Jin and stepped closer to Mrs. Jeon. He greeted the lady.
"I am so sorry, son. Did I interrupt something?" Mrs. Jeon asked.
"Not at all. Are you alone?" Jimin asked, looking around to see if Jungkook was there somewhere.
"Actually- If you have time today... It's Jungkook's birthday," Jimin gasped with wide eyes. "If you could come over, we want to surprise him. I mean if you aren't busy with anything otherwise."
Jimin looked like he was in a dilemma. He looked back at Jin and averted his gaze to Mrs. Jeon again. "I will definitely come by in the evening. You can text me the details." Jimin promised.
"Really?" Mrs. Jeon asked innocently.
"Yeah, yeah," Jimin held her hand. "I'd be more than happy."
**
"Who was she?" Jin asked as Jimin caught up to him and they walked towards the basement parking.
"Jungkook's mother."
"Your future mother-in-law was here and you didn't even introduce me?" Jin teased Jimin.
"Hyung, please," Jimin found his cheeks turning red as he grinned.
