Two months later

Jimin knew that Jungkook was clear as crystal when he said he would be over him if he walked out of the relationship.

"If you do this, if this is your final decision, I am not coming back to you once this is over."

The words kept wandering in his mind over and over the entire summer. Every time he thought of these words, he tried harder to get in touch with Jungkook, but the boy was on his graduation trip. Albeit Mr. Jeon told him where he was staying, he didn't want him to go looking for him, respecting his son's wishes.

The college application came months ago. All he wanted was to tell Jungkook the good news, take him out, and celebrate with him, but he was gone. When his parents began to empathize with him and Jungkook's parents supported him, he thought he would be the luckiest person alive, but in the deduction, he forgot that getting Jungkook back wasn't easy.

His desperation wasn't hidden from anyone anymore. It was always his phone and him, trying to contact Jungkook, searching for flights to go to the US, but Mr. Jeon's words stopped him. He would come to eat at the table, forget that he'd already eaten, and fill his plate again, only to realize when he couldn't eat anymore that he had already eaten.

His parents now worried about him. They offered their help and proposed that they could talk to Jungkook, but it was unacceptable for Jimin. It was he who hurt the younger, he knew he should be the one to ask for forgiveness and face his wrath.

But sadly, it didn't happen.

It was the evening he was leaving for his college in LA.

Jungkook had gotten into a university in Singapore to major in sports.

Jimin had known that Jungkook didn't really have a plan for college, so his parents helped in choosing his further education. Jimin loved Mr. Jeon's saying - study to gain knowledge and help people, not to make money. At the end of the day, he could afford the saying as he was making loads.

He stood at the airport, manifesting seeing Jungkook somewhere by miracle. He knew that the teen wouldn't be back home until next week as his college was starting later than his, but he still coveted something.

"Call us and we will be there," Mrs. Park hugged him.

"I will."

"I know it will feel like everything has come to end. You would feel like abandoning everything and running back home, but at that moment, I want you to remember why you started in the first place." Mr. Park said, patting Jimin's shoulder and hugging the two.

The knots inside Jimin were bundling up. The only thing that remained was his complete breakdown. This day was supposed to be the happiest day of his life, yet without Jungkook, it was doomsday.

He still had time, but he didn't want to cry in front of his parents, so he bid them goodbye and checked into the airport with his heavy bags.

Jungkook landed in Seoul after a week and was welcomed by his parents. They spent three days together, enjoying family time as much as they could. They played paintball, had a picnic, went hiking, and last, but not least, went shopping, loads and loads of it.

Mrs. Jeon helped Jungkook pack everything. With each cloth she put in his bag, her worry grew bigger. Jungkook had never done any chores and she knew it wouldn't be a bed of roses for him. But she also felt so proud of her 18-year-old son.

She could remember his giggles like yesterday when the toddler was teething, learning to eat with chopsticks, or taking his first step. The baby was now an adult and he was all set to leave her.
